I'm happy to report that I haven't had a major CH for a week on the Catapres/verapamil combo!! ;D Minor shadows, yes, but NOTHING more - no middle of the night agonies. I can even hoist a few brews without effects! ;D ;D I'm really, really hopeful that this is THE right combo for me for prevention. Could be wrong yet, but it's wonderfully encouraging!! That's Great, Jim :D :D :D, Personally, I'm a little jealous, but enjoy it while you have it.

For me, if I can go a week without over-night eye-burners, I know I've made it to remission. But, we all know things can change quick. Enjoy!!!

The other problem is now intermittent, which is better than it was! :D Seems like I am slowly but surely getting over the side effects of the catapres/verap combo. PFDANS's to you bro. - Jim R

Steve - not yet - gotta save the BIG $! LOl And that won't be happening for a while - just got back from the dentist's. Had 2 ceramic/porcelain onlays (likecrowns but better supposedly) and a composite filling. My upper teeth and gums are ACHING - like a CH, but I know it's the work they did and all the novacaine - 9 shots (and it's wearing off! OH NO) - three for each tooth BECAUSE she was scared with the CH on that side, I would be REALLY sensitive, but with all this novacaine - just a few little twinges was all...

My dental work today started feeling too reminiscent of the Beast though, so I have taken a couple of percocets to ease/mask the pain - I know it will be gone tomorrow but it was beginning to bore into the same areas.... and I need to stop it to sleep. PFDAN's to ALL - Jim R

Thank you Nancy. Yes, there is hope - my last major was a week ago this past Sunday - that's a loooong time for me without one and I can only credit the verap/catapres combo because I haven't been doing anything else different. Yes, hope springs eternal...

Just wish the tooth/jaw pain from the dental work yesterday would stop aching (I know, it's always SOMETHING! LOL) - it's getting really ANNOYING!

There you go Jim .... an idea to get rid of your pain. LOL. You can say to the old wifey .... yea, it was working for awhile but ......shit, the meds they gave me for the jaw pain affected it once again !!!! But hey, I have never tried it .... don't have much to work with.... give it a try ... may make the sporadic problem dissapear as well as the jaw pain !!! Let us know if you took Dr. Echo's sure cure pill !!!

LOL Echo...you sound like my Dad...as kids we'd say "Dad my hand hurts (all full of tears and the whole 9 yards) and he'd look at us and say Get the hammer.
What will the hammer do? And he would say I'm going to hit you on the foot with it so your hand won't hurt anymore hehe.

Okay guys - thanks, but there are probably two places where I do NOT want any pain! My head and I bet you can guess the 2nd one! LOL! Although maybe I'm a bit masochistic and it'll start the ball (or balls!) rollin! LMAO!

Seriously, thank you all for the good wishes. The dental pain is better tonight so I don't think echo's treatment will be necessary (unless of course unless I feel experimental!) and still CH-free (just minor shadows) - it's just soooooo COOL!!! I went out shopping tonight with my wife and we ate out - just a nice time without any pain. Wishing you all the same luck I'm having for PFDAN's - Jim R
