I am going to be getting a call Tuesday morning at 9:30 AM from Therese Dean. She works at Syracuse VA Medical. Therese answered my E mail last week about my cluster headaches and wants to interview me to see if I qualify for their study that they are doing on Episodic cluster headaces. I don't think I will be getting to much of a foot in the door since I have now turned Chronic but, I have to do something! My Doctor tells me to try and get into their program anyway. I guess nothing ventured nothing gained.

I'm glad that all that went to the convention had such a GREAT TIME. I agree with Margi I thing it is more of a family reunion then a convention.

One more thing, Bob P is one of the nicest guys I know. He gives up so much of his time for all of us. I thank God for such a talented person and all the work he does for us all. But behind the scenes there are a lot more people on this message board that also do so much for us all. I'm not going to list names for fear of leaving someone out. Thank you all for the jobs you all do.

Your right about the Boob man he does more than anyone knows and deserves a great big "attaboy" but seeing that he kicked my ass in golf he aint getting it from me.....LOL

Just tell the peeps at the study that your in cycle, hell, they dont know shit anyway ;D

I was considering the trials there myself, but my experience in Syracuse has not been good so I didn't bother with it.

Let me know what you think of Therese Dean and if the clinic she is at is any good...I might try to get an appt if you think they are valuable.

We only have one neuro up here and he's not the best in the land...told me outright Clusters are just a branch of Migraines.

Ok Cat I will let you know. Though I think if there was only one Neuro I would look for a new in another town. Especially after his comment about clusters and migraines. I'm still a little doubtful of my neuro. Going to have to have a long talk with my brother in law ( my family Doctor ) about this guy........ :(

I agree Terry. Problem is the drive to Syracuse in the wintertime can be fatal. The amount of snow we get up here (avg 150" per winter) and that particular stretch between here and Pulaski is a very bad section of highway and prone to whiteouts on a regular basis. It makes Dr's in Syracuse difficult to utilize. Then of course you have to find one that participates in the military health care system.

I appreciate any info I can get from you. I'm probably going to request an appt with the headache clinic at Walter Reed in DC after hubby gets home, but in the interim there's no reputable neuro around.

Although if my proposal for the convention is approved, then I plan on picking on you alot LOL. I think it would be great if the convention was here in upstate NY and we could get that doc to come and discuss the trials at the convention.

O Boy the convention in up state NY Hmmmmmmmm The very 1st convention was in Rochester, NY By a guy name Drummer.

Not a bad idea, but I think the best place would be in Niagara Falls, NY. Only one think I don't know much about the area.

Maybe someday we could meet in Syracuse at the Carousel Mall.

Niagara Falls, NY....Yikes! Our side looks like Beirut. Of course if you go across the river you can gamble, go to the wax museum and buy tons of kitschy souvenirs.

The Canadian side is terrific. Niagara Falls, NY has never been as beautiful. The Canadian side has the best view of the horseshoe falls anyway.

I hope you know that I wish you well and hope this works Terry. Cat......the first convention was in Drummers garage and doesn't count. If we had it in NY, Bashful ol Charlie would have absolutely no reason not to attend and Drummer might even show up....hmmmm.
