Title: Re: My Doctor Post by LTBullitt on Sep 19th, 2002, 5:25am If I were to share stories about this so called doctor you would dismiss me as a fantastic liar and the biggest fraud. You would think not even an idiot child would make up such wild tales of incompetence. He is that retarded. It went sooooooo badly that my g/f went to her doctor and pretended to have clusters to get me some of the drugs I needed. This wasn't so hard as she was a sufferer since she was 12 but they went away at least ten years ago. But it all being on record he didn't doubt her they came back and actually did something. I couldn't throw a punch, no hitting with clusters, you know. Imagine being in jail with CHs! Now that is one terrifying thought! So I swear on everything I hold sacred I better not get better for his sake. I never talk the violence without backing it up, never have. You know one positive about all this? I'm angry and this is the first emotion I have felt in months. |

Title: Re: My Doctor Post by NancyMcFree on Sep 19th, 2002, 5:34am So you did get some meds. Good. But 2Late is right ... find a doctor for yourself. A good one. You need to know what is OK for you take, with any other probs you might have. There are good doctors out there. You just need to find one. Keep looking. Don't give up. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help out. Also, give us the whole story ... it's easier for us to understand and help if we know what is going on. |

Title: Re: My Doctor Post by LTBullitt on Sep 19th, 2002, 5:44am There is a chapter two in this Kafka world I've been tossed into. The doctor, using the term very loosely, I'm sure he has no liscence has been nothing but trouble since day 1 and that was a decade ago at least. I really want to tell the tales about him but this website doesn't have the space for chronicles such as these. But that aside I did want to switch doctors right away b/c I wasn't going to screw around with CHs. I'm in a small redneck gooberesqe town this I should have mentioned. So when I place my call to the one medical centre here they ask who my doctor is at the time. I tell them and the response from this nurse was "Oh, you can't switch doctors." Upon inquiring the reasoning for this I was told it would make the other doctors uncomfortable if they "allowed" this to happen. Uncomfortable. I may have went into a state of shock at this point, I kinda forget. But the end result is no matter the protests I could not get another family doctor in this town. So looking in other towns close by, which it has to be fairly close b/c of traveling with CHs isn't possible for me I found none that were taking on any new patients. And the problem is the same all these years later. No doctors accepting patients, all full, ect ECT ECT ECTas YUL would say in THE KING IN I. The only reason my g/f has a doctor was b/c her daughter was so sick at one time one doctor finally decided to see her b/c of her kid. So the result is I haven't really seen a doc all these years other than to fill clonazepam reapeats every 4 months. |

Title: Re: My Doctor Post by Jasmyn on Sep 19th, 2002, 3:45pm LT, I live in Africa, Mozambique, and I want to tell you that in this place there is not even 1 doc that knows what CH is. It takes me to drive to South Africa to get meds. I have an oxygen tank and I cannot even get it refilled here. So do yourself a favour and let your g/f to drive you to any other town that is bigger than yours even if it means to another state. You need a good doc and you need meds. Nobody need to suffer because of doc's that cling to etiquette. |

Title: Re: My Doctor Post by oringkid on Sep 19th, 2002, 5:10pm Jasmyn, I think you should travel the continent in search of some of those "lost" tribes and contact their "doctors" Betcha any amount of money that they have, if not a cure, then a 100% effective treatment for CH. I'm not kidding! I truly believe that some of these people who we consider "behind the times" or throwbacks to ancient times have more answers than we supposedly "civilized" and "modern" folks. BTW, good to see you back and would love to see some pictures of Mozambique! Sherry |

Title: Re: My Doctor Post by Jasmyn on Sep 21st, 2002, 6:19pm Oringkid, I am actually pagan myself, although it is not acceptable in most societies, not even in Africa. Most African nations are Christian or Muslem or Hindu. Paganism is an old tradition and fading fast. (It is practiced still as a second religion) Some of the above religions still practice 1/2 Christianity/Muslem/Hindu and1/2 pagan in the same breath. I search for the local Shamans or Witch-doctors as they are called here, but for a white witch to engage the wisdom of a black witch-doctor is taboo (not acceptable) I have moved, so it will take me a while to build up some confidence and credibility in their eyes. But I do believe that they have the skills. If you have a look at the trend of todays medicine, you will notice that everything is returning to organic and herbalism. That is actually a very ancient medical practice that worked for thousands of years before docs had all the modern technology. Somewhere, somehow, religion or no, the answer is part of this universe. When the time is ripe, it will be discovered. |
