Thank you all for your warm welcome, and your advice on meds, I did go to the OUCH website and printed out very useful info to bring to my doctor. I just hope he is more understanding now that I can fully explain to him what these painful episodes are, he didn't seem to understand what I was saying kept trying to put me on valium for stress, unbelievable how they just do not listen. Again, I can't not tell you how grateful I am for this site, the understanding and the support I now feel here. Thanks! ;)

Becareful how you present this info to the butthead Doc, sounds like a piece of fucking work Doc wanting to give you valium.

Doc might get offended that you know more than he/she does about CH, ask if he or she would be intrested in seeing the info that way its not threating to them. a good Doc will say "oh ya, what ya got" a prick will say "I went to med school"

Sorry, forgot to add how I know Docs and Neuros are self centered pricks....I told my Neuro (30 yrs on the job) of Dr Goadsby.....he said he never heard of him.

Jonny's right. Docs can be buttholes.

I had a neurologist tell be once: "They can be very painful." He's lucky he's still extant.

A good one will appreciate any info as they aren't kidding when they say they haven't much time to look around the web for this stuff.

Keep looking here. The archives are full of good and bad stuff. Most of it's fun anyway.

Ditto to above. I work with 'em and most are the most self-centered, ARROGANT animals on earth. But, this being said, sometimes, if approached a certain way, some can be amazingly understanding and helpful. Good luck. - Jim R
