It is so damned nice to have a good day!

After finally realizing I could not stay awake until the end of time, I set my alarm for an hour ahead and laid down my weary, bruised head at about 5:30 AM. Woke up with the alarm and felt the beast's claws scrabbling around at my temple, so I popped an Imitrex tablet. I got up and started clearing the runway for my daily headache marathon. Had just picked up the last of the dog toys (ow, bending over hurts) when I realized I did not feel like I had to walk. The pain was there, building in my temple, but I felt like I could ride it out in a sitting position. Was up to about a Kip 4 when I sat down with a very hot washcloth over my eye. I just leaned my head back against the back of the sofa for a minute or two and.....NO MORE PAIN!!!!!! The beast went sniveling and limping back into his festering rathole leaving behind only vague shadows!

Of course, the first thing I thought was "WTF?" After that it was pure, unadulterated gratitude, peace, elation.

Spent the day doing ordinary, non-earthshattering things. I talked to my neighbors. I set out the trash for collection. I loaded the dishwasher. I went to the pharmacy. I combed my hair, fer chrissake! It was the best day of my entire summer.

And THAT is what makes the struggle worthwhile, in my book.

OK then....I'll now revert to "normalspeak".....I'm very glad that you have a reasonable point of view ...and a ....very sanguine (look it UP...ya ravens...ya crows...ya VULTURES) grasp of the PROBLEM...

Wonder how many people that don't live with pain would appreciate a day like that....
