Title: A request for some help....
Post by Not4Hire on Aug 25th, 2002, 9:58am
Hey clusterfolk....please consider this a plea for help with an article for the newsletter.

I would like to interview any veterans, mercenaries (LOL), or military types who have had CHs while fighting a war in the heat of battle (including an actual attack during a battle if that's happened to them or even just the fear of getting an attack while in battle (the fear during the battle or fearing it happening when no battle taking place)

I would like to set up a time to interview you by phone (my nickle) or email you some questions. Gotta have this done by 9/2, so please don't wait to step up.

Thanks in advance.....Steve

Ted says: "expand it and ask if any serial killers are out there who had to change their plans of wholesale slaughter to accomodate CHs?".............(taken out of context, BWTF....) ;D

N4H... Maybe ya should expand it to USPS workers that were forced to delay going postal, because a cycle made it difficult to aim their semi-automatic rifle at the ppl in the post office?

It was so much out of context I better explain it was in reference to his asking for mercenaries input too.
Don't worry Steve. You can put things out of context as much as you want in your article. I won't correct you there because it's not about me.
There we go. With you showing you'll easily quote people out of context and me saying as editor I won't correct you if you do, well, people must now be lining up to be interviewed for this article.

...I'm glad you cleared that up, Ted......and I still think that a "Gonzo" journalism column could fly.....

...the line DOES start here.....and I DO welcome any input from vets... this is a serious request and I invite anybody to help us out...
....we are coming up on the anniversary of the death of innocents and heros..... I want to honor their memory and write an article that will respect them.....please help if you can.....

Thanks....

No headaches durring actual combat although I do have nightmares about exactly that somtimes. My right eye,  my dominant eye is pretty much useless, cant see to shoot. Crushing impacting pain, fear, finally the relief of a well placed round.

Were you in combat? Did you fear, either in battle or out of battle that you'd get hit during action? You might be what Not4 is looking for e-mail him and talk to him so he can figure it out after talking to you.
His e-mail is: carpe_diem49@yahoo.com
Same for you other vets who saw action. this is a good way to honor not only our vets, our present-soldiers and yourself, but to tell the story of fighting soldiers who have CHs.

Did'nt have any attacks while in iraq.  My attacks started sortly after I returned.  Thought for a while it was some form of Gulf War Syndrome.  I was wrong.

Don't forget to wear clean underwear also.

CH in nam but not during firefight.  Charlie was lobbing a few mortor rounds into the perimeter however.

Had a nasty one during a standoff, with small fire exchange as a cop however.
