Title: Hey Doc Tom from Munich ...
Post by dannyboy on Aug 23rd, 2002, 7:06am
After reading your post in the Babies and Collic thread I searched under "Horners" and got only one result that didn't really explain Exactly what Horner's Syndrome is

Could you explain it to me please if / when you have the time

Thanks

Danny

Hey Dannyboy,

Why should Tom waste his valuable time to give you private lessons in spelling?

Ask the doorman to type Horner's syndrome into Google for you and you will get 4150 hits. Hopefully you'll read them all, then we could have some rest from you for a few days.   :-/

Anyhow, I can't stop to stress the importance of the Horner's for an early diagnosis of the CH (I know, Annemarie, you newer had it yourself, and I beleave that you are a CHead, nevertheless !)...

From my post on July 24th to another topic concerning the Horner's Syndrome:

... it's a strictly defined neurologic symptom and a triad containing:

- droop eyelid (ptosis)

- narrow pupil (miosis) and

- eyeball sunken into the socket (enophthalmus)

Some authors add a fourth phenomenon seen many times along with the others, a red eye caused by wide blood vessels - but any kind of pain or a sore eye don't belong to the definition of the Horner's Syndrome.

Thanks Tom!

SteveY, the obvious temptation is "wanna ask a question thats been answered 200 times ... huh ... hit the search button ya dingbat"

But I'm not equal here on ch.com... I have to eat shit ... so given that i've tired of complaining about my fate, I pick up the spoon and dish up another nice, tasty mouthful of clusterhead crap ...

I am here to : -

1) Understand Cluster Headaches

2) Help OUCH fufill its potential of becoming a unified medical force

3) Share the information that i have and find on clusterheadaches

4) Learn to know intimately the people that I serve

If that doesn't satisfy you SteveY, then I look forward to have you shooting your amatuer mouth off every time I post. You can console yourself with the fact that you follow in a great and prestigious line of Dannyboy Antagonists.

Unoffically though, I'm also here to meet great friends, enjoy wonderful company, stand up for the down trodden, and fufill my dream of Understanding Clusterheadaches

But don't tell anyone the last bit. I'm not really permitted to have those feelings about this place

Oh Well

Dannyboy

Fair enough.

So long as you don't sell snake oil.
