Title: Shadow
Post by Stampertje on Aug 16th, 2002, 7:19am
It's 14:41 in The Netherlands and about 30 degrees celcius (that is pretty hot here). The whole day now I'm being "shadowed" by the beast.
I've used my O2 and Imigran, but both only worked for half an hour...
I'm getting tired of it. I'm even wishing to get hit, so that maybe I can have a quiet evening and night.

I'm already feeling sorry for my girlfriend, because I am getting more kranky by the hour.

Hope you didn't mind my complaining.

I am sitting this one out in The Hague, with a little wind from the sea coming in.

I am off Verapamil now and the shadows bite, but haven't climbed above 3 yet.

If you can, try and get an airco and sit over it.
It works for others on this board and I just found out it chases my shadows too. This vacation I had a rental car with airco, shadows just would not come near me in the daytime!

Hela, hola en hou er de moed maar in!

Dank je wel Ave.

I'm at work right now in Rijswijk. I 'm sitting in an office without airco. My boss thinks it's to expencieve to let it be installed. But days like this at work kill me.

But there is one thing that is keeping me positive: THANK GOD IT 'S FRIDAY!!!
Maybe a trip to the beach and dip in the sea tonight will do me some good...

Btw Ave, are you Dutch or just visiting...?

Pfd,
Stampertje

Just to give you some perspective and maybe make you feel a bit cooler, here in AZ it is 47.8 degrees celcius!

So, feel cool and enjoy!

I thought I was the only one to pray to get hit so the shadows would go away.  I sometime feel that they are more anoying than I read "whammie".  At least with the whammie it is over and done with ... the shadows just go on forever.  Is this normal???  Also, just an FYI ... its been stinking hot and dry here for the last month ... could the tempature have anything to do with it ??  Also, since I am asking questions ... does anyone else notice that it might be related to stress as well ???

:D I like the way you string your words together. LOL

Your " the shadows just go on forever.  Is this normal"

and "its been stinking hot and dry here for the last month ... could the tempature have anything to do with it ??

Yes, the shadows can go on for a long time. For the last 4 years I had daily shadows from January to June. This year I got a break and it was only from January to April. Is this normal? For some yes, for some no.

If you're asking if the hot, dry weather causes shadows, IMHO, no, but I could be wrong.

If you're asking if the hot, dry weather has any thing to do with the temperture, then yes.
As the temperture gets higher the weather gets hotter and vice-versa.  ;)

OMG That explains it !!!!!!!  These attacks started after I found out my husband was not gonna die.  Or at least we were given some sense of hope.  I was soooo relieved !!!!  Now to get rid of them HE JUST HAS TO DROP DEAD !!!!!!!!  Gee, I think I will keep the HEADACHE !!!!!  LOL !!!!!!!  I am being serious though about when they started.  And I had already gone through a slight bout with anxiety attacks (talk about wanting to put you in the nut ward .... get taken to the hospital with a severe panick attach and watch out !!!).

Getting the word that your spouse was going to die and then that he wasn't would give anybody an anxiety attack and up the stress level to the max. Sorry you had to go through that.
Maybe the stress triggered the attacks and maybe the relief did it. Maybe it was something else. I don't know. Nothing seems to fit in this cluster game.
