Title: A PFD? 2 PFDs? Could it be, dare I say?
Post by Leggs on Aug 12th, 2002, 9:32am
I have had two PFD's, I am scared to day they are gone.  I am still waking up around 1-2am just sort of aching.  They were going on since July 19th, it seems like an eternity. My vision was all messed up, the opthamologist said the headache accelerated the 40 year old thing, my eyes aged, well, the headaches are gone, I can read again to my kids, so what's that all about.

Oh, forgot to tell you another nurse I almost cussed, she was rushing around at the doctor's office griping how I didn't need to be seen re: my headaches (I was scared my ch had never messed up my vision before, I was on hormones, they tend to cause clots), didn't know she was griping so loud I heard it through the door. She snatched my card from the other girl in the middle of allergies, and just went on and never asked me further. Then she proceeds to put something in my eye to numb it, not telling me she was doing it---DUH!  I am allergic to caines!  I had not had the wake up at 1am headache Friday, I thought the CH was over so it was kind of confusing. I had terrible headaches Friday and Saturday, my eyes totally dialated, I was shaking and had chest pains.  Then I realize THIS was what happened to me when I had cocaine sprayed up my nose years ago and it almost killed me.  They advised me not to use caines, I get my teeth drilled drug free!  Well, I didn't get a chance to smack this nurse, but I am waiting on the office manager to call me back.  Hey, they are lucky I am not the type to sue, or I wouldn't have to worry about my husband being out of work!

I really think I have broken out of the cycle.  Now I just have to clean up the aftermath in my house!  Looks like a war zone.  I don't even remember what I have done for the past weeks.  It's like a fog.

THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL OF YOU FOR BEING THERE! It was so fantastic to find this site.

I think I am STILL not getting the headaches....I am very wary though, I am really watching for triggers like crazy.  I made something with parmesan last night, it about killed me, but I didn't eat it.

I kind of had a headache all day yesterday (migraine) but I drank water water water, and I took Fever few in the evening.  I have finally lost the puking feeling.  I know they say nausea is usually not cluster headaches, but I think it depends if you are a nausea prone person.

Oh, in defense of nurses, this woman is NOT the norm.  She really needs to find another job.  She was so bossy and rude to the other woman there, and I DID call up the office manager. She was SO upset, and called up the doctor at the hospital on his surgery day to tell him about it (probably warn him of impending law suit) Apparently, she, the office manager could definitely BELIEVE what had happened, she wasn't happy, but she had me write a letter.  It bothers me when a nurse like that can give the profession a bad rap, I have had so many GREAT nurses, just been having a problem lately!
