Why do I get an error upon login saying I should fill in a user name? As I view my profile the user name is there as always.

The problem may be in the computer date. New mainboard bios set as default the date to 1/1/2020 or near when resetted. (or the opposite... to 1/1/1980)
 
The Explorer cannot "validate" the cookies with dates so far from the cookie date itself.
 
check your computer date.
 
Otherwise.... I cannot help you.... ;D
