My husband has been suffering with CH for 3 weeks now. He didn't think that beer and smoking could trigger a HA. Well, he has now seen the light! I took the survey with him in mind. It was pretty scary with the findings being so close to what he has been going thru. Now does Chinese food trigger CH? Or any other types of food? Anything with high sodium? Thanks to anyone who could help. Especially with any tricks to relieve the headaches. Jackie

Beer, definitely a trigger for a lot of folks. Smoking (sorry) not so much. We've got both smokers and non-smokers here. Even ex-smokers say quitting didn't make much difference for them (not with clusters anyway).
I responded to you in the above thread, but it's not the sodium in the Chinese Food - it's the MSG. Another common trigger.

Welcome to the board.
Not sure of any foods that trigger for me. I am not a drinker.....but I am a smoker. I have not seen any proof that the smoking is a trigger. However, some alcoholic beverages are known to trigger...beer is one....and red wine.
