I wanna ask a stupid question...

I have been following the OUCH business board regarding OUCH joining other organizations....There has been some concern about wheither joining these organiazations would cost OUCH any money....Is there anywhere the members of OUCH can see the budget and how our money is being spent? I, for one, have not seen a budget since Atlanta..I checked the site on the OUCH board that says..BUDGET REPORT..but the only thing there is the bylaw regarding the budget. Where is the budget report? Thanks and smiles,nancyc PS. i tried to post this on the mb at OUCH under the business section but it would not post for some reason..that is why i am posting it here..sorry about that.

Nancy, click on "Member's Corner", then click on "Commitees". Under where it says "Budget Team", click on "Reports".

Nancy was asking for the BUDGET REPORT - I didn't find it either. All that's on that page are the monthly reports.
What she was asking is what is budgeting for what? A lot of members are asking that right now.

I will address this with our treasurer.
Keep in mind she has been working alone when in the past there has been a committee to help out.
OUCH needs to set up an annual line item budget. I'm not sure if this is in place but I will inquire and report that on the OUCH business board ASAP.
Any further questions of thist type regarding OUCH should be placed in the OUCH Members Forum. That is where I look. Almost missed this post.

So I take it there are past budget and performance to budget reports available from previous years, completed by the committee?

Actually, since OUCH is a not-for-profit organization, this information should be available to the general public and not just the membership.
This would include, annual line item budget, profit and loss statement, balance sheets and the general ledger.
The general public should also be able to ask these types of questions. Can't do that on the members forum.
Happy to see things moving forward.

PF is right. IRS code says that as a nonprofit our records are PUBLIC and must be available to the PUBLIC at all reasonable times. (IRS PUB 557).
What DO we do about NON members?
