OUCH not listed in CFC?

I was approached by a co-worker on friday about donating to one of the MANY organizations listed in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). I thought, "sure, no problem." I grabbed the lengthy handout and began to browse for OUCH... Not listed? I then began to browse the international section to find OUCH UK... Not listed? I did notice one US HA organization, but I do not recall the name of it. Anyway, I asked him how an organization gets added to this. He is checking on it and supposed to have an answer for me tomorrow.
Does anyone know of a good reason why OUCH should not be listed? Every US military member (at least) is contacted each year for donating to an organization listed under CFC. Of course, I do not know all the specifics, but it sounds like a good deal to me. ;D Anyone know anything different?

Let the BOD know what you find out. We need to get on any "donation" list we can. We also need to start applying for any grants we can. How can we get the moeny to researchers for a "cure" until we have the funds to do so?
Two years ago, as Treasurer, I put some money in the Budget for Grant writing, but we didn't use it. I don't think we have enough right now to hire a grant writer. Anyone have any experience with grant writing. There are grants available for our cause out there. We just have to ask for them, but it has to be done the "right" way (their way). And there is a protocol for finding them.
There are companies available to "find" grants for different organizations (for a percentage of the grant). I think OUCH has grown to the point that now we need to start looking for MONEY to fund research into a cause and cure for our disease.

Has anyone applied to the CFC co-ordinating Org.?
The qualifications are:
Must be recognized as a 501-(c) 3 by the IRS, which includes :
Submit articles of incorporation.
" by-laws
" application
" IRS EIN (employers I.D. Number)
" Financial records or proposed budget
" List of officers
This is all just step ONE!
Then, to register for a CFC (Combined Federal Campaign) the organization files with the United Way handling that CFC.
