Nope, this isn't CH-related.
Living about an hour from the Rockies has its good points and bad points. One of the bad points is the short (and not especially hot) summers. Some years it seems to jump from summer right into winter. It was around 75F a couple of days ago and now we have the first snow of the year already. It won't last more than a couple of hours, but its there already. 
I guess it help control the forest fires in the area. 
Kinda mixed feelings about moving 400 miles this weekend. It probably won't snow there for a couple months, but when it does get cold, it gets A LOT colder than here.

Because I can't afford to move to the Caymans, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, Barbados, etc... (yet  )

I live in chicago area now, was from TX. The one great thing about winter for me anyways is no clusters. So I say Let it Snow ,let it snow ;D

We are experiencing fall as well, not like you are....but summer is definitely over....till the Californians check in  .......
Solution is Aruba, Jamaica.....hey how bout the Cook Islands?

I'll be thinking of ya snow birds while I'm enjoying life living on the Florida Emerald Coast. ;D It's definitely still summer here but fall is in the air in the early morning. Had a morning temp 2 times this week of 66 degrees! It was nice.  Ok, I'm done rubbing it in now. I couldn't help it! I just moved back to Florida after living in the Virginia mountains for 3 years!!
