Solution for Svenn - Flame away

Ok all, I know this will bring on the wrath of the board but WTF?!?
Is Sven 10 years old? Passing notes to the board through a friend? Just can't handle the fact that some people are jsut not nice?
I know I am not alone on this but I am the only one with enough balls to say it. This is simple dumbfounding.
ANyway, I suggest that Svenn put his puter skills to work and create a "Friends of Svenn" message board. You can only be a member if he invites you and can be booted at anytime for saying something that is hurtfull.
Anyone else find this to be juvinile or is it just me?

Some people just aren't that thick skinned as others I guess, I hate mean people, but have learned that it does no good to get upset, just rise above it and keep my mouth shut, if I want to say something, I will, we all have a dark side to us, and we have to realize that on any given day, someone just MIGHT be having a bad day and may say mean to us or say something "hurtful"...I somewhat agree with you, if you can't fight your own battles, then you just need to sit on the sidelines and watch the world go by you.
Oh geez, I hope I didn't offend anyone...

Svenn's a cool dude....am sure he misses us......he should come back and jus take the good with the bad....ignore all the rest.......rite ? I'm goin out to eat with my parents at the mall and expect there will be hassles all around me there as usual...but......I will stay and eat my meal and look at all the stuff and do what I went there for. (as with everything else) Man I am feelin physofical taday now ain't I ?

I don't think he wants to get in the middle of our little fracases because like me, he has no real idea WTF started this last silliness and doesn't want to post something he may regret.
We Scandinavians are a touchy bunch. Swdes like me are too mean to stay away though.

All I am trying to point out is WE ALL have opinions. Some smell stronger then others but this whole PC thing has gotten way outta hand.
If we were all sweet little fuzzy creatures then the whole world would have Trouble with Tribbles. (If you don't know, don't worry bout it).
Perhaps we should install an ignore button on the board. Then we can all help and deal with only those who we agree with. We can form clubs and give them catchy names. Hell, why not let only blond haired blue eyed white people with the same ideals chat here?
Yes, a sheltered life is a carefree one. It just sucks that "walking on eggshells" is the order of the decade.
My opinion (remember, I respect yours) is take the parts that you like from the board and ignore the rest. I'd love that trukey wing and can see those gibblets but don't care to eat them, I'll just have the wing thank you.
If you see the gibblets and are sooo disgusted that you have to leave the table then so be it. It just all seems very childish to me.
But then again, what do I know, I could be wrong.

The thin-skinned ones have left a long time ago. After maybe 2 or 3 posts. This is about the old-timers here. The ones who have left after a VERY long time because of bull-shit overload. I hope all the newcomers realize that it's a culmination of things. Not one in particular.
The old-timers here are what made this board what it is today. A place to go to be accepted. A place to go for the best information on these headaches anywhere in the world. A place to go to laugh, for support in the middle of the night. A venue where we can all make friends with certain individuals who will call us when we don't check in. THEY are what made this a place that we all call family.
It is so sad that so many are gone now. I hope you newcomers will come to realize this.

I didn't realize that Svenn had the right and/or power to take down the post that he was offended by.
The only person that can remove posts is DJ and he only does that ONLY when he sees fit. That is the reason the posts that offended Svenn are no longer here.
I also found the removed posts in THAT thread inappropriate as well as the handful of (luckily) short threads started by the same "author". (Apparently you missed those. I haven't been on much lately, but even I saw why them and saw why DJ would remove them.)
Because Svenn decided to take a "leave of absense" does not make him thin-skinned.

BTW - I originally came to this board back way back in 1997 or so (could be off by a year or two depending on my cycles).
So veterans, don't give me this newbie shiest. I remember what this board was originally about.
I personally stopped coming because I am episodic and selfeshly used it when I needed it and left when I was better.
No, I do not know sven and apparently NOBODY here (Oldtimers, veterans) remembers me from many years ago.
I came back to try and help others (as I have been saved by the pink ones).
Anyway, we did see some true colors here which was part of my original intention. I really wanted to see how much of a club this has become in my absence. I only questioned the logic behind "giving up" on your fellow clusterheads because of a few bad apples. I still think it is a valid point to open up an exclusive club for those who are very close and don't care for the BS. This way you can still support one another by invite and keep feeling from getting hurt.
Anyhow, don't hate me for being honest about my feelings toward this. I could have been phony and acted all concerned and sad about someone who ran away when the going got stupid.
I will no longer express my opinions when I feel they may offend the oldtimers. I will only post happy shiny thoughts from now on.
Or, if you like, since I do not fit the mold of who the veterans consider worthy I will flee the board forever and go back to my selfesh ways.
OH, and lastly, Sven is a fool for running away from you all. What you all need to do is get together and have an intervention.
