Painful Yesterday We watched the sun come up that morning. We watched the buildings burn and fall. What seemed an ordinary day in life was far from ordinary at all. We saw people fighting for their lives. We heard the crashing of the planes. Too many of so many didn’t survive the fatal fall and brutal flames. Meanwhile, the dust is slowly settling upon the distraught and dismayed, heart to heart we come together-- hand in hand we stand afraid How can we ever again be strong with two flat towers and a broken Pentagon? After innocence witnessing all this wrong, just how are we supposed to carry on? We must open our eyes to that painful yesterday. Knowing tomorrow we ‘ll find a place to put our tears away. And we must open our arms to the children taken by. We will sing their fears away so they no more shall cry. We now open our hearts to the heros of this land With the strength of God above, hate will fall and love will stand God is here and you will never be alone. He will come for those who mourn. God is here and you will never be alone. He soon will come to bring us home. September 11, 2001 Questions may be answered in time, and Justice may come for all. This land may someday recover, if Freedom ever finds its way home. Heroism will forever fill our souls with gladness, but Nothing could ever fill this many empty arms. The Day Our Country Cried It’s 10:00 a.m.... Blood engulfs the east and all the country is mourning in disbelief to the unimaginable Buildings upon buildings Bodies upon bodies The loud and so silent sounds of our country’s heart slowly breaking

Be silent in that solitude, Which is not loneliness- for them The spirits of the dead who stood In life before thee- are again In death around thee- and their will Shall overshadow thee: be still. From- SPIRITS OF THE DEAD... Edgar Allan Poe (CH) Thoughts of love and peace from U.K.
