Having a BAD night

Kind of at a loss for words. Just a bad night. I worked hard all day, my head ached, I hung out with the guys, my head ached, I have been up for days, my head aches. Shadowing so fucking hard I want to cry. Looked at myself in the mirror - no wonder Kenn has been asking me all night if I am okay. I look like shit. I have to pass out soon, and to be quite fucking honest, as bad as i feel right now, getting awoke in the next hour from a sleep of exhaustion by the beast with a roaring fucking CH. Can't explain everything about the night - just worked hard through the persistent thumping, and to be up and ready to record at 9am. I fucking hate this.

Carl,

With what you do and the passion you surely have for it, you may not be able to stop and rest.  I know the word "rest" may be met with a laugh but you may be opening the door to other shit to do you bad.

The body heals best during sleep.

Sorry and I pray that PF time catches up with your busy ass.

Hang in there Carl_d I hope when you do finally give in to sleep you sleep many many hours straight with ZERO interruption from the beast......no sleep=getting a virus of some sort....I got a nasty headcold and I know its from not getting enought sleep.  I know its scary to go to sleep but sometimes the damn beast leaves us alone long enough to catch up a little.

I slept, but through the night...things changed. Was prepared for an attack, knew it was imminent. What I wasn't prepared for was about a total of 2 hours sleep, and 3 fucking wake up calls from the beast. Pissed me off bigtime. If this keeps up, not sure what I'll do.
Looks like I better get that beater guitar for OUCHFest just in case.
When I go to the Doc Tuesday, I am DEMANDING o2, Imitrex injections, and NO excuses. I recently found out that our guitarists girlfriend formerly worked for medicaid, and she gave me a name to contact if they give me hell about coverin the injections. As they say, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I'll bug those fuckers so much that when I am waking up in a kip 7 or 8, they are waking up having nightmares of, "The guy who won't go away."
Gonna read a bit, and get back to work. Mike came up with the demented idea to re-do the Monkees "Daydream Believer" - while opposed at first, I have to admit, it is turning out kick ass!
What next - a death metal version of "Send in the Clowns?"

Headbanging several different ways,

Dear Carl,

Imagine yourself lying in a soft, green, fragrant meadow, your head pillowed on the lap of a tender, loving maiden.  She gently strokes your forehead and temples, and as you drift off to sleep, the drone of the buzzing bees, the warm sun and the cool breeze carry you into a deep dream of peace.

When you awake, countless hours later, the stars are out and all the world is still and expectant.  You rise, strengthened and refreshed, and stride confidently into your rich future.

This is my wish for you.

Namaste.

Sending HUGE PF Vibes.  Damn the Beast  Angry

Have you tried Charlie's technique for the shadows?  It takes practice, but saved my sanity.  It doesn't work for the ones that wake you up in the night, sigh.

I did have luck with taking 2 tabs of Benadryl or Dramamine (thanks Jacks) to get me to sleep when the shadows were at the lower end.

Stay strong Carl and remember your family is always here for you.
