to all who posted about their experiences with those who don't understand...my friend is new to this cluster f*ck world...awareness is cool...  THANX!

looks like i missed something here with people pissed at each other...ya think the common pain and suffering we all endure (supporters definately included) would be enough to keep us all tight

it's all just a shame

I was just lost in the archives for hours...and as I return here yer words sparked a memory of a post there by the CH.COM famous but absent Gary G. in Oct of 1999

He spoke of his view of the difference between "suffering" through the pain and "enduring" the pain. An interesting observation.

My paraphrase and interpretation is: Our attitude toward CH defines how we pass through the attacks.

A negative attitude of "why me"..."poor me"..."i can't make it"..."noone else feels this bad" "i don't deserve this" etc ...causes us to "suffer" the pain.

A positive attitude, aquired and accepted during the painfree times, of "this is only a disease not a punishment or curse"...."it will pass"..."i will survive and thrive"..."offer the pain up"..."resistance is futile...go with the flow" "I must look really silly with this mask on,in my underwear, dancing to a CD of indian drums" etc...causes us to "endure" the pain.

I am not one who understands the phsyiological aspects of CH. I leave that to others. I am a student of the psychological and philisophical impact that the pain has on us. My area of work is in transcending the pain as it happens and transcending the negative impact CH has on our lives as a whole.
