Wondering how many epilepsy on this site and what you take for the seizures. I have nocturnal epilepsy and have thus far only seized in my sleep. It's happened for years and I only recently found out what was happening to me and was sometimes terrified to fall asleep cause I often can tell when it's gonna happen. My left bottom eyelid starts twitching or my left pointer finger twitches sometimes but not all the time. There is a nasty fullness I get in my head before the onset of the seizures. Ch suck and so does seizing cause there's nothing you can do while you seize but let it do its thing. Wondering what those with epilepsy take. It was mentioned that some people took some drug that also helped with CH but made them sorta forget stuff and lose weight. I currently take trileptal which is supposed to help but hasn't the last three times I have seized. So if some folks can answer this and without telling me the topics been covered time and time again I'd appreciate the feedback. Thanks all. Stuey

Stuey, Tegritol is also a med for epilepsy. It is also used for Trigeminal Neuralgia. I have taken Tegritol for TN 10 years ago along with CH. It does nothing for CH ...........andy

Andy, Trileptal is tegretol with one added molecule. Supposedly you don't have to check the white blood cell count or something like that. Stuey

Stuey, It has been 10 years since i have taken Tegritol but the key was to take it on a strict schedule, if i missed a dose i would pay dearly. I remember lots of blood tests also. .............andy

I have taken topamax and neurontin for epilepsy and ch. I also have tried tegretol, lamictle, dilantin and depakote but am allergic to those. All these can be used for both epilepsy and ch.
