Hey all,

My fiance and I are flying to detroit this weekend to test the in-flight entertainment system for a new Northwest plane.  I'll be there on Saturday the 16th. about 6:30 pm and leaving Sunday 17th, at around 9pm.

So what does one do when in Detroit?

Cheers no tears,
~Juvy

Been to Detroit.

Stay in your hotel room.. it's the safest place!  LOL

but you could go to the casinos downtown.. there's MGM, GreekTown, and circus Circus... (i suggest MGM)...

but dont go by yourself.. you will get hit up for money down there.

there's also some night clubs.. really cool jazz clubs.. I cant remember the name of one tho.  I was drunk at the time.....................

Fly out of it. ;D (No offense meant to those who actually like or live in the Motor City)

Seriously, I have flown into Detroit on many occasions for business (actually met in the burbs) but haven't found anything to do actually INSIDE the city. Back when I was in grad school I had a conference there and we all went out to Greek town for dinner ... the meal was good but the rest of the trip was scary. Shocked

The airport does have a nice new fountain to play in. ;D

Take care

lol thanks for the tips.....I think... Tongue  I don't think Detroit is that bad but I may be eating my words on Monday.

Well i'm off for the weekend.  Tonight we're going to the international fireworks festival and spending the night in a lovely hotel.  Then tomorrow we leave for Detroit.

Any of you who live over the flight path...don't be surprised if see some one "jump" from the plane.

The fiance is being a pig-headed mule this morning and if he keeps it up, I'll be testing the plane's mid-air emergency evacuation procedures.  MEN!

anways...Have a great weekend and see you on Monday.
