I hope y'all don't mind, but I feel a need to rant...
I haven't been doing too well for the past couple months. My headaches have been getting the better of me... Other health difficulties... My car and house is falling apart... etc, etc, etc... It just keeps building up. I've been trying to juggle all this as best as I could, but things just keep getting worse, and it just gets harder to keep everything together. You see... My headaches and shit have been seriously effecting my performance at werk, and if I can't maintain my quota, I could get fired. My only option around this has been FMLA, but I don't get paid when I take a day off. Go to werk, could get fired... Stay home, don't get paid... Sounds like fun 'eh?
So the past couple of months I've missed days when things get really bad... i.e. Been up all night dancin' with the bastard and shit like that you know... Unfortunately, it just keeps adding up... And with the problems with my car and house causing unexpected expenses... I'm in deep shit. I haven't even been able to afford my meds for a while. Now I've hit the wall... How could I have been so fucking stupid?? My next paycheck won't be enough to pay the bills I need to pay with it, not to mention food and other necessities. Unless a miracle happens... I don't know. The final straw broke today when I was turned down for one of those short term, high interest, payday loans... Now what the fuck am I going to do?? Why did I let this shit happen?
Does anyone know of anyplace that can help me? Any ideas? I'm not normally the type of person that would beg, but I'm really starting to rethink that... I just don't know what I'm going to do... I'm just so fucking stupid. Damn it... I just don't know what I'm going to do. Oh well... Thank you for listening. Sorry to dump this on y'all, but I needed to talk to someone, before I completely lost my mind.

Sorry things have piled up like this on you......I have been thru this when newly divorced and trying to raise three small children by myself, with ch. So I know how frustrated you feel and how small and how hopeless.
Try your Health and Family Services depts...Salvation Army and Goodwill for emergency cash, and check to find out if you have a local "helping hands" org. in your town.

Damn..it's so unfair that ch sufferers can't get a break of any kind..........jobs, insurance, docs who don't know what ch is, blah blah blah. So sick of this crap!!!

Drk...A lotta people are in the same boat. Living paycheck to paycheck. I know I'm livin paycheck to paycheck. Keepin my head above water, but one emergency could really mess that up.
One thing I can help you with. Call the creditor's that are due. Let them know what's going on. Believe it or not, most of them are pretty understanding. Prioritize what's important. Gotta pay the food, electric, & mortgage/rent. Everything else can wait. Just don't forget to let all your creditors know that you can't pay right now & give them a realistic date as to when they can expect it.
P.S. I have about 6-2packs of imitrex syringes that I may need you to hold for me.  . Let me know if you would be able to do this for me. Out of cycle & I don't have any room for them.

Please just hang in there. It always seems worse before it gets better.
I would in the meantime call or go down to the Human Resources Center. You may be entitled to food stamps or help to pay your utilities.
I wish I could offer more help.

Drk- Not a stupid rant.....tons of people are in the same sitch, and it is the pits......call your lender, cite medical issues...they should be much more willing to work with you, rather than take the house back- there are many who are in a redemption period, where the lender is able to work out a catch-up plan for you.
As for house reapirs, head and work, seems that if you can get even one of the monkeys off your back the other things will likely ease up.
Vibes and good jujus going out to you.....and an invitation for the beast to take a hike......damn him, once again.
Please keep us posted, let us know how things are going.

Thank you all for your advice and offers. It always amazes me the support that can be found here. I'm still working on a few possiblities for financial assistance, so I haven't given up yet, but it just hasn't been looking good. Something will work out though...

Drk.. I am so sorry to hear of these hard times.. I know it must seem insurmountable (sp) just know we are all pulling for ya. You may want to see if you can get emergency service plans for your utilities (HEAP). They are available in many states & will pay all/most of your gas & electric..just make calls & keep pluggin away hon.. thats all any of us can do..and know that this run of bad luck has got to end..

We had a really rough year last year.....and we went for emergency assistance at Health and Human services....had to jump through alot of hoops to get some help but we did. Just like DOnna said....Salvation Army, and local churches (you don't have to be a member) also can be helpful. Also if you have a community action program in your area they can also help with food (maybe cash I'm not sure). Another thing that helped us when one of our utilities were about to be shut off was the Town office....they can sometimes pay a bill for you. Hang in there and you'll get through this!
