Purgatory -- KEK 7/28/2003
Days unending,
Hours unimaginable,
Pure, incredible Madness,
Settling into every recess,
Slowly killing me,
But unwilling,
To let me die,
Doomed to endure,
This unrelenting beast,
This unforgiving Hell,
Death without dying,
Life without living,
This unlimited purgatory,
Consuming me for my sins,
But the unanswered question,
What sin deserves this torture?
This indescribable pain?
This Hell I was born with,
This beast I have lived with,
This Madness I pray for death with,
Day upon day,
Week upon week,
It’s all a blur,
Memory upon memory lost,
Why?
What have I done?
How was it decided,
That I must live like this,
Hiding from a beast,
That I cannot hide from,
Living with this Hell,
That has become my world,
Set me free!
I beg you,
Set me free!
Please, can you please,
Just let me die...
No one deserves to live like this,
Fighting the pain,
Fighting for freedom,
Steadily losing everything,
Everything with meaning,
In a doomed life,
Until there is nothing left,
Worth fighting for,
But even giving in,
Doesn’t end the attacks,
It doesn’t end the pain,
The beast is still there,
Blasting away,
Driving you deeper,
Into the Madness,
Leaving no escape,
So slowly you sink,
Deeper into Hell,
Living without life,
Dying without death,
Doomed to be damned,
In this purgatory on Earth.
