OUCH UK (Raising Money)

Well, I have decided I am going to do something for OuchUK this fall (when the weather gets cooler)
I have done things for OuchUS and want to do something for my homeland Ouch.
In the fall I plan to do a Sponsored Beg.
I will be asking friends family and clusterbuds who want to sponsor me to do this. I will be going out onto the streets of Nashville with my OuchUK donation box. I plan to wear the OuchUK gear and beg for the cause. I will be handing out leaflets obout our ilness to all who ask me what it means.
I decided to do a beg because......
If you do a run or a silence etc..you are only making money from your sponsors...a "beg" I will be making money two ways for the cause.
So with that said, I have alreay had promises of sponsors and am writing down how much they would like to sponsor me.
If any one here would like to sponsor me please email me Jayne_salters@yahoo.com or IM me and I will write down you name and how much you would like to sponsor me for.
I plan to get someone to take pictures of me doing this and I am going to try and get some television coverage or newspaper coverage as well.
I'll start off by sponsoring myself $100.

Wow! What a wonderful start.
FYI Jonny, you are right, a "beg" is a British thing. It is customarily performed by UK citizens when our rich transatlantic cousins come into view. It does seem to work, as we end up with the money and the Americans end up with a feeling of moral rectitude! This of course is the natural order of things.  (Personally I go for the money every time..)

Well!, im sure that theres more people that will kick in 5 or 10 bucks, hell, I ve drawn only 20% of my regular pay in the last two years and im kicking a C-note.

My roomate has promised $10
My sister has promised $20
I have some one from England donate five pounds.
My mum and aunt have promised money.
I will be working on my boyfriends promise tonight.
I haven't even started getting sponsors yet. I just thought I might be able to get a few from here. Ya know...from people who suffer from this disorder.
No one has emailed me or IM'd me either.

No problem Charlie I do have that. But I won't be collecting the money until I have put up pictures of me doing the "beg" and that won't be until the fall as it is 94 degrees outside in Nashville. I am just writing down all your promises right now and I will let you know when I have completed my mission and how much I raised.
