Question for California voters...

This is not cluster related but just interested in opinions. So, it looks like the recall election is definitely going to happen. If the Terminator makes it on to the ballet for Governor, would you consider voting for him?   Just curious! Virginia

I have no skin in the game. Opinion -- Whereas Minnesota elected a WWF champ, CA will elect an actor, especially one with Kennedy ties.

I think you're right. If he decides to get on the ballot, he'll probably win!

I don't know why people would elect an actor with no political experience. But we had Reagan as governor, Sonny Bono as mayor of Palm Springs, and Clink Eastwood as mayor of Carmel. The trouble with actors as politicians is that they can lie and cheat and not get caught because they are such good actors.

The mystery isn't how he got INTO office...it's how he got RE-ELECTED after the ridiculous energy FIASCO on top of everything else (car taxes, school tuitions, etc). This guy has GOT to go!

I want Davis out of there too, but since Arnold can't act worth a shit..what makes him think he can do this job? I just wish there were better choices. It always irritates me that I am forced to vote for the lesser of two evils. Linda

| Can't act?? What do you mean? You didn't think Terminator was worthy of an Oscar?   ;D And what about Twins? He had to be Danny DeVito's twin brother...now THAT's some acting!   I know he's involved in a lot of Children's causes & education causes in general (I know he's also spear-headed some work in the inner-cities)...I don't know that that makes him qualified to be Governor but if he gets in a bind he has a whole family of in-laws that he can go to for advice (of course, they're on the other side.....).

We've already had an experienced politician in office - and look what he's done to us. Who cares about his acting, I'd take an experienced business man in office any day. Marc

| Simple, he knew Reardon would beat him in an election so he targeted him in the primary debates and in his advertising. He knew he could beat that other yahoo my republican brothers threw into the ring (who's name I don't even remeber) so he focused on not letting Reardon get to the final November ballot, and the sad part is it worked.

Davis is a maroon. Even his handlers know that. Unfortunately he has genuis handlers, and they want their puppet to stay put. I won't be surprised if they succeed in defeating this recall. They've already got Davis saying things like 'Sure I screwed this state up real bad, but you don't want the scary evil RIGHT WING agenda in this state, do you?" That tactic will swing a lot of votes (those who aren't paying attention, that is) Just today, at my office, we had a 1 hour power outage. Now, Intel is right across the street. A power outage there costs millions in lost wafer fab inventory. I can't imagine how an intelligent person would vote to keep this dipshit in office. -Fu

Oh, I forgot to say... YES. I'd vote for Ah Nold. Not because he such a great actor, but because I like the idea of having a cybernetic governor. Maybe we'll go invade Mexico or something. I hear they have weapons of mass destitution. -Fu

Bob, it was Bill Simon wasn't it? (the other guy). He's probably going to run again in this recall election (that's what I heard this morning).

| Surely you jest. Davis looks like he isn't through defrosting. Arnold is a special case. Karl Rove doesn’t much care for Arnold. Arnold isn’t insane enough for Rove’s lunatic wing.....and believe me, Karl Rove is very involved. Here in New York, we do things short and sweet. Six bullets in the chest makes for efficient turnover. Lovin' this shit Charlie
