OK...I know these may sound silly, but trust me...there is a purpose:
For those CH'ers who answered yes, that your ring finger is longer than your index finger, please answer the following:
1) Was your biological mother pregnant BEFORE she was pregnant with you?
If yes:
2) How many times?
3) Were any of those pregnancies full term?
3a) If yes, how many?
3b) Were any of them boys?
4) What is your gender?
5) Do any of your siblings have CH?
5a) If yes, are they male/female older, younger?
6) Chronic or Episodic?
My answers:
1) Yes
2) 2
3) Yes, 2, 1
4) Female
5) No
6) Chronic

(one interesting thing... my mother had one miscarriage before me and one after... then my brother was born... he has a genetic defect that causes shortened tendons... my mother's grandfather had the same thing...my daughter was born with CP...we think...)

That is just MY theory. These theories are just my attempt to find some sort of link bewteen us all. There is evidence that suggests that 7% of CH is hereditary.
From the fmedical info page here:
Hereditary factors are significant in migraine and might be expected to be important in the cluster headache syndrome because of their mechanistic and pharmacologic similarities. However, it is uncommon to find other examples of cluster headache in the family history. Among Kudrow's (1980) 495 patients, 18 reported the presence of the syndrome in a parent. Migraine occurs no more frequently among the cluster headache population than among random population than among random populations (Andersson, 1985). When migraine predates the commencement of cluster attacks, migraine usually ceases when the cluster attacks begin (Bickerstaff, 1959); thus, although these disorders are biologically distinct, their mechanisms are probably connected.

I have a twin sister and she gets neither migraines nor clusterheadaches. However, we both have prolapsus of the mitral valve...just a little heart condition.
