Fellow Texas (and anyone else that wants to come) CHer's: We are trying to get together a Texas Meet and Greet somewhere in the Dallas/Ft Worth Area for later January or early February. Any specific dates unavailable for any of you? Also...I need an estimate on number in attendance to make arrangements somewhere. Let's get rolling on this now that the holidays are over and get something on the calendar. Looking forward to meeting y'all, Renee

Renee, Doesn't matter to me when you want to do this. Might check with Tracey (Roxy), to see when she can come. I thought she mentioned end of Jan or 1st part of Feb. I think she has been outta town with hubby off and on for a while. There's several of us here in Texas......I can adjust to whatever is easier for the majority. Let me know what you come up with. Maybe me and Tracey won't get "snowed" in, in Iowa. PF vibes, Jean

A bump for the Texans. Lets see if you can post more than the Midwesterners. NOT !!!!!! I hope you all do get together and have a great time. It's too soon for us Midwesterners to get there. Maybe next time though.

This sounds great.... Unfortunately, at the end of January, Cat and I are going to the New England Headache Center for some Advocacy Team work. I probably won't be home till the last week of February. If I miss this get together, I'll hate it.....but, I can always make the next one. Hopefully, ya'll will have as good a crowd as Iowa. PFDAN, Tracey If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.

Renee, The last weekend in Feb. sounds great. If I'm not home by then, I'll drive back from Virginia to make it. Maybe I can twist DJ's arm and bring him. He's only 4 hrs. from me. I'll give it a shot. Cat is 8 hours away from me, so I doubt if she can make it....but, we can always hope......

Cupid, huh? Sorry, them arrows is spent. However, I will strip to a pink thong for $15.00 per person to be donated to OUCH. This is something you do NOT want to see! BOFs is ugly in the nude. Anytime and anywhere! Remember to allow for the smokers. Huddled outsite in a Texas February doing a fix, porch or no porch, is a bummer. However, maybe I' ll be clean by then? Naw, not a chance. I have changed my mind. At my age, black is more discreet and more demure. Pink is for the flashy types like Don. Not that I have much left to stuff in there anyway.

alrighty, sounds like feb 28 and/or 29 is good thus far. what y'all didn't answer is...do y'all want to meet and greet for a couple of hours or more than just a couple of hours? and will anyone need hotel accomodations? i can't wait to meet so many that have helped me and given me so much support thru my trials and tribulations with CH. just a quick update on meds: i believe the verap caused me to have two really disoriented and confused ocassions where i basically could not find the front door of kohl's much less find my truck and somehow i ended up with a bruise on my forehead! so...i've quit the verap and have had no other "lost in life" episodes. I have an rx for topamax but didn't start it due to all the bad side effects some on this site have told me pertaining to topamax. right now i'm holding somewhat better than the past 3 months. still having daily cph and some ch and am not stopping but rather controlling pain level with o2, indocine, caffeine, water and trex. i vote for a new q.b. next year. quincy just can't handle pressure outside of the pocket. renee

Renee, Guess the overnite thing would depend on where we meet. I don't know the driving distances for the others. For me, it's gonna be about 4 1/2 to 5 hr drive. However, my hubby has been working in Ft Worth the last few weeks. If he is still there, then I will just stay wherever he is. Have you decided where yet? (what city or town) One day meet is probably gonna work. That's what we did in New Orleans. And need to find a place that is condusive to our needs. In New Orleans, we sat in the lobby of the hotel. Very nice, it was. Nice comfy meeting areas, w/ chairs and sofa's. And it was really private....even tho New Orleans was bustling. We sure don't want to go somewhere and not be able to sit and talk for a while. Also, needs to be where the smokers can smoke......and the drinkers can drink. LOL I know nothing about the Dallas area. So, you and Rick and his wife maybe could get together and come up with something. Also, check with Barbara and Donna D. Sorry, not trying to tell you what to do...LOL But since you and Rick and Donna and Barb are closer there, ya'll can find the place that meets our needs. We sat in the lobby of the Sheraton in NO for over 16 hours!!! Gonna be hard to put a time limit on this. So, that's why the suggestion. Believe me......it's hard as hell to leave......nothing like meeting another CH!!! Glad to know that you have a bit of a handle on the ha's. You certainly needed a break from the pain! Jean

Barb..I am sans vehicle right now...but I will know more closer to that time. Renee, I lived in Dallas a long time so I will be willing to help find a few comfy spots so we can have a few choices to look at. Dallas, to me is a better choice as I am BROKE and can stay overnight with family if need be. Mik, I am saving my pennies. Bring the thong! LOL! Jean, are you doing any tourneys in the Cedar Creek Lake Area? Rick, cannot wait to meet you too! Donna D Have we filled up page one yet? LOL--Bigger and Better in Texas! T.O.U.C.H.-the next chapter!

Renee, Mostly we need a place to "visit". Usually when Clusterheads get together, we make our own entertainment. We're all so shy...... But until you experience it, you really won't know what I mean. Just a place that won't kick us out after hours and hours. In Tyler we met at Red Lobster. Our little waiter was looking at us kinda weird after about 8 hours, but Donna and I just kept ordering "refills" on our tea and sat there thru the dinner rush. In NO we sat in the hotel bar for 16 hours. We ordered sandwiches (finally) to keep up our strength. Mik, I think Black is demur and can hardly wait.. Hey Steve, are you gonna get to come? You know we'll talk about you if you don't. Hugs BD
