CH Journal: Breaking a Cycle with RC Seeds

Following is my headache journal from my most recent cycle. Some parts are detailed, while others are not. If you have any questions about anything, I will be able to address them. I have left out some details about detoxing and such before clusterbusting, but I remember everything quite well, and am able to answer any quesitons. About Me: 20 years old Senior at California State University Sacramento, Pre-Law major Episodic since August of 2001 Clusterbusting since May of 2003 I have used shrooms in the past for busting, this is my first experience using RC Seeds. Started to begin feeling the cycle coming on in early to mid November. I was getting severe shadowing every afternoon at the end of my classes, most likely from not having eaten all day. This was happening between 2:00 and 3:00 pm. I was taking kudzu with an afternoon meal and the shadowing was disappearing. I started taking kudzu and inderal every morning and night. This combination had seemed to be very successful in the past. My first real attack was on Sunday December 4th. It was after a long night of drinking. I quit drinking at that time as I knew I was definitely in cycle and kudzu alone was not going to be the cure-all I had hoped it would be. The week from Monday December 5th through Saturday December 9th, kudzu and Inderal continued to be a winning combination. I was now smack-dab in the middle of finals and the CH fought harder. December 6th and 8th I had to leave class early because attacks were coming on. Saturday or Sunday the 11th or 12th is when I started aborting hits in the morning with redbull, and jogging in the cold. This only works when I would do it at the very onset of an attack. This is also when I started getting hit at night.

Monday December 13 Started to get hit, jogged to the store, drank a redbull, felt good.finished my papers. Took them to the school. Turned in books at library. Worked on my paper that was due on Tuesday, pretty much got it finished, fairly sure I got hit that night tried to abort with kudzu and masturbation (its worked before). Did not work this time. Fell asleep after escalated attack that fell back down to shadowing. Tuesday Dec. 14. awoke at about 9:00am, could feel CH coming on, definite shadowing escalating. Took 2 613mg. kudzu and went on jog (very cold outside) to the store to slam a sugar free redbull. By the time I got back to my house everything was fine. Finished my term paper and went to school and shopping from about noon until 1:00. started getting hit. Frustrated, took a zomig, first time I have used a tripitan this cycle. Did not seem to work, perhaps from the kudzu interaction. attack lasted about 75 minutes, face went numb for 1 -2 minutes then the pain was gone. Very shooken up, attack drained me. went to home for my parents 25th. Nice evening, lots of diet pepsi, no headaches. Felt drained. Shadowing around 9:30 when leaving. Took some magnesium (forgot how much magnesium helped me with shadowing and decreasing the intensity of attacks) and drank more diet pepsi for the drive home. The thick fog on the highway scared me into being so tense, and the magnesium and caffeine made for pain free drive home. The night went ok, actually had the feeling that my cycle was coming to an end on its own. Wed. December 14, 2005 Woke up an hour earlier this morning that I wanted. Set alarm for 7:30 when I had to be up at 8:30. The second I woke up I took the kudzu and magnesium I had left next to my bed the night before. I then fell back asleep and woke up at normal time of 8:30. felt shadowing as I got ready. Took a walk down to the store in the freezing cold, bout a sugar free redbull and a diet rockstar (energy drink similar to redbull, contains caffeine and taurine). Slammed the redbull on the walk home, ate some eggs and salsa and felt great. Made a snack for my final (carrots, apple slices, and diet rockstar). The final from 10:15 – 12:15 went great. Sipped the rockstar throughout the test, had plenty of energy, clear head and think I aced the fucking thing! Got home, took more magnesium and kudzu. Hung out with the family, took a xanex, went on a run. Studying at the moment, feeling great. I have been getting hit in the afternoon lately, hopefully this doesn’t happen today. I have been doing the “not going hungry, but not ever-eating” thing and it helps. My RC seeds should arrive in the mail tomorrow night. Tomorrow night I plan on crushing 8 seeds, soaking in wine for 2-3 hours and then ingesting the whole mixture. At the same time I plan on preparing 2 other solutions of 2 seeds each, one for the next morning, and one for the next evening. I believe this is called a “sip dosing” or something. I am still slightly unclear about that. Accidentally fell asleep for 2 hours or so. Woke up and felt attack was on its way, took some 2 250mg. magnesium and 2 kudzu. Drank a diet pepsi for the caffeine, this did not stop the attack. Came on around 6:45. built up slowly,, stayed at around a level 5 or 6 for 20 minutes or so, came down to a 3 or 4, stayed at that for 20 minutes or so, then lingered around level 2 and 3 until 9:30 ish. This has always been typical behavior of my haeadaches. They come on slightly slow, (although sometimes very rapidly) get hit hard for a little over an hour and then they linger and shadow for another hour or more. Its now almost midnight on wed. night 12/14/05. I read somewhere that peeling an apple and leaving it next to your bed and eating it before you get out of bed will help. Whatever, ill try anything, I have a final tomorrow morning at 10 and NEED to be pain free from 10 – 12. same story as this morning with my final. Tomorrow morning I am going to wake up an hour early and take kudzu and magnesium again and then go back to sleep for an hour until my normal time of waking. At that time I will eat the apple, drink some water. Make a nice strong cup of hot green tea and see how I am feeling. Will most likely jog down to the store in the cold to get a sugar free redbull to drink immediately and a diet rockstar to drink during my final. RC seeds should be in the mail tomorrow night.

Thursday December 15th This morning I awoke an hour early, took magnesium and kudzu, woke up an hour later, ate the apple, got up and made a cup of strong green tea. I could tell a CH was still coming through so I walked down to the store and bought a red bull. Drank that and walked home. Felt pretty good. went and took my final. Felt decent for the rest of the day. Expected to have my RC Seeds in the mail that night, but they were not. Friday December 16th Woke up with the familiar shadow feeling. Went to the store and bought a red bull. Had shadows and eye twitching all day. No severe attacks. I crushed 11 seeds and let them soak in white wine for 3 hours. I drank the entire mixture. No psychoactive effects were noticed, head felt the same. If anything, I felt really relaxed. Saturday December 17th same shadows and eye twitching. Do not know why, but decided that drinking some alcohol really fast would just get me drunk and not give me a CH. All that happened was I ended up really wasted with a CH. Lasted hour and a half, was so drunk that I can not attribute a specific kip level to the attack. It did however, last the normal time of about hour and a half. Sunday December 18th Same shadows and eye twitching. Shadows occurring in the morning just after awakening and in the afternoon. Occasionally feel a burning sensation in the back of my head that feels as if the CH is being melted. Monday December 19th Same. Head beginning to feel pretty good. Tuesday December 20th Same shadows and eye twitching, felt pretty good. That night I got hit pretty hard. It was interesting in that it was a very clean attack. It escalated quickly, lasted maybe 30 minutes, and then fell quicker than normal. While my attacks normally come on over a period of 20 minutes, they normally linger around and do not substantially drop off quickly at all. The whole “exiting” of the beast normally takes an hour. Wed December 21st I prepared a dose of 25 seeds and left it to soak in white wine. It had been soaking for a little over 4 hours when I got hit really hard. I decided to dose at that time. The dose did not abort the attack. I felt light headed and then extremely relaxed approximately 30 minutes after taking the dose. The attack subsided some time after that. No noticeable psychedelic effects.

Thursday December 22nd Shadows in the morning stopped with red bull. Got hit really hard in the afternoon. Felt exhausted afterward. Friday December 23rd Enjoyed a basically pain free day. Shadows in the morning. Felt great after a red bull. Rest of the day there was some twitching and slight shadowing, but felt great. Saturday December 24th Shadows in the morning, Red Bull helped. 3 hour attack at Christmas Eve function. Missed everything. Headache lingered for hours and hours. It was absolutely horrible. Sunday December 25th. Christmas Day! Felt great. Slight shadows in morning. Red Bull helped much. Rest of the day went great. Started taking Vitamin B supplement that includes B-2 Riboflavin. Prepared a 25 seed dose soaking in white wine. I used a warm-hot water bath around the shot glass for a few hours to possibly speed up any kind of chemical reactions in the alcohol/seed mixture. It sat for a total of 8 hours with 3 of them in the warm water bath. I felt the dose more than any other, but still did not feel any psychedelic effects. I felt very good with some twitching and slight shadowing. The whole experience was weird. I would feel euphoric at one moment, then anxious the next. I would have a very clear head at one moment and then feel shadows at another. All in all, it went perfect though. Extremely confident and happy with dosing with the RC Seeds. Monday December 26th Shadows are slightly worse than normal. Taurine from energy drinks helping. No attacks so far today.

SUMMARY NOTES: I am noaticing considerable relief currently. I am not sure if it is because I am coming to a time when my cycle would normally be leaving or if the RC Seeds are working well. I think it is a combination of both. I have left out many details about things such as detoxing and exact hit levels. While reviewing the kip scale, I can say that when I state that I have an "attack" it has always been abover a Kip 6 and normally is up at Kip 8. Throughout the cycle I have been taking magnesium. Toward the end of the cycle I began taking giner as well. And then vitamin B. IMPORTANT: I have tried my hardest to stick to the clusterbusters.com guidelines. I believe this is the most important thing you can do when trying to end cycles with hallucinogens. Pain Free Wishes to All. Happy Holidays! -Chris Moore

Chris, Thank you so much for posting your journal. Your experiences will help many CH'ers get some insight about alternatives. And weather or not you ultimately feel that this has worked for you, its all information that will help others to make treatment decisions. PF wishes to you. Pat

An additional note: compare and contrast between shrooms and RC Seeds I think the shrooms were more effective in ending my cycles than the RC seeds have been. I like the RC Seeds because they are easier to obtain and even at what is considered a large dose (25 seeds) I did not notice any unpleasurable effects. My Future Plans: Now that I feel that my cycle is on its way out, I plan on dosing with RC Seeds every 4 months for the next 2 years. At that point I will let it go to every 6 months. Depending on the time of the year and if I am experience shadows I will dose more or less. Thank you for all the support this board has provided over the past 4 or so years. Much Appreciation Chris Moore

If anyone is interested, here's an update... Monday 26th: felt good all day long. used energy drink in the morning to get rid of shadows. Had tons of eye twitching and always feel like a CH is on the brink of hitting. I think I am just afraid and my fear gets me worked up more than anthing else. Tuesday 27th I felt good upon awakening. 30 minutes later i had some shadows and for some reason drank a diet pepsi. I am thinking more and more that aspartame may be a trigger for me. I began to shadow harder and rose to a kip 2 or 3 or so. I ran down to the store, bought a "go girl" (a sugar free energy drink with plenty af taurine). I slammed it, put some capzasin hp on my nose and face, layed down for a bit and felt good within 15 minutes. The attack did not get above a kip 4 or 5 and was miniscule in length compared to my normal attacks. I read about the capzasin hp here on the message boards. If it does not do anything directly to the headache, I do like the distraction of the burning on my nose and temple. It burns pretty bad, but its good to have a completely different type of pain/sensation altogether. Vitamin B-2, magnesium, and plenty of ginger has been a winning natural combination for me. It had really made the "dull headache time" between attacks virtually pain free. and the attacks I do get are substantially less in severity. Today Wed. 28th I wake up every morning feeling better and better. I had some very moderate shadows this morning. Just as if, something was in my head, but barely, barely there. I drank an energy drink with taurine and took my ginger, magnesium, and vitamin B and everything is just feeling great.

| Eye twitching is known to be a definite magnesium deficiency symptom. When I've had those twitches (plus nightime leg cramps), I've taken Solaray magnesium citrate or asporotate, and the twitches and cramps ceased. Weird thing though - taking magnesium oxide (the el cheapo, common form), makes the twitches and cramps worse, or causes them even if I wasn't having any to begin with (!)

This is an old thread, but maybe someone is still listening. I am the fiance of a CH sufferer and trying to arrange for her to try seeds of the Morning Glory family (which also included Rivea Corymbosa and Hawaiian Baby Woodrose HBWR)). I am trying to help her by sampling the seeds myself for efficacy (I don't mind as I have had some exposure to entheogenics long ago. I will say here to whomever may still be listening, that Rivea Corymbosa seeds obtained from IamShaman (one of largest of these types of shops and with very good reputation) were flat ineffective. LSA containing seeds only have so much shelf life (it is often said about 9 months after which potency declines significantly). I used the traditional grind up and infusion in cold water method with 8, then 20, then 50 seeds with zero effect each time! I am not a hardhead as only a few HBWR seeds (10 at most) will provide a significant effect using the same cold water method of ingestion. But absolutely nothing with the Rivea Corymbosas seeds. I have seen quite a few entries on entheogen forums with the same complaint. Apparently RC seeds are not so common like MB and HBWR, so may be more likely to sit on the shelf a long time. It will pay CH users then to query the source regarding the FRESHNESS of RC seeds, and to confirm with any supplier the freshness of any MG or HBWR seeds you comemplate buying. Because LSA potency can degrade within a period on the order of months, freshness is something to consider with these seeds,,
