Applied Kinesiology Anyone?

Hello all.. Hopefully some of you can find some help as I have. I have been a CH sufferer since '98, and I had a bout start up a month ago after going 4 years without. I had discovered a chiropractor in the last few years that I was really happy with who happens to practice applied kinesiology (AK). You can look up AK on the internet, but suffice it to say, the AK practitioner checks for muscle weakness to identify specific ailments, including spinal misalignment, nerve blockage, etc. Now, to get to the exciting part. I recalled from my last visit to the Chiro. that he had a sign out front that mentioned headache relief. I had never mentioned my CH to him, but I thought what the heck, let me give him a call. I got in to see him last Wednesday - November 2 after having 2 CH episodes in the early morning. I was pleasantly surprised that he seemed to be very knowledgable on the subject of CH. I didn't even tell him which side of the head my clusters were located, and upon examination, he pinpointed it accurately to my right side behind my eye! Now this may sound a bit out there, but he adjusted my right heel - indicating that was causing the irritation which was utimately causing the pain registered in the optic nerve behind my eyeball. Well, I am happy to report that I have been CH free for the last 8 days, ever since my chiropractor made that heal adjustment. I don't know if other chiros can help, but I certainly feel like this helped me! Perhaps its the Applied Kinesiology training that was a big part of it. Do a search on AK on the internet and you can find practioners in your area. I hope others of you can find the same sort of relief I have! Regards, Dennis

That's actually the 2nd site on the google search. The first one is where you can find the site for practitioners. If it works, it works!!! And no drugs!

Hi Dennis, I'm mining the web for about these topics already for a long time. I found something about Kinesiology and something related to adjusting the heel. Here is The Art of Chiropractic discussed in general. The site everyone interested in General Healthcare should study. Surprise, surprise, many correspondents of this message board can pinpoint the cluster side, that's no special giftedness. Furthermore, almost everyone here knows that clusterheadaches have nothing to do with the optic nerve (which transmits the signal from the eyes) but the trigeminal nerve. And that nerve is not "irritated", nor is it excited in the usual way; the connection is a bit more complicated. I wish I could rake in royalties from the drug "Placebo". PFNADs, Ueli
