Hi all, Finally got to the doc's today, 3 months to see the neuro, God damn Ridiculous if ya ask me !! any way he had samples for me of Relpax , Imitrex and another plus he wrote e a script for 2ltr's of 02. Got pretty excited!! The last thing he does is call the nurse and say do an ekg on Nicky. UH-OH seems like I've had a heart attack sometime in the past . Just my luck. 8 years pain free now this !! Seems trhat none of these meds can be taken by someone with heart Problems. well I still have the 02 which I will pick up tomorrow. Any special way I should be using that ?? I saw a post where someone said to fill the Bubble Bottle with Ice and water at the bottom of the bottle Ice Cold O2 sounds good to me. anyway Just a warning for those of Us with heart Problems or Uncontroled Blood Pressure!! Wishing PF Days and Nights, Nico

Hi Nico, I'm really pleased you have such a good doctor even if its a pain that you can't have the triptans.. bugger I need to question something else you said too.. 2ltrs of o2? do you mean 2 litres per minute or two tanks or what? If you did mean 2 litres per minute then you need to go back to the doc asap for a higher flow rate. You need to be able to breathe the o2 at 12-15 lpm for it to be effective. I need it to flow at 15 lpm but thats me You need a regulator that will go to that rate, if you can't get one contact mr happy here. Do you have a non rebreather mask? You can get them from the doctor or the pharmacy - they need to be the masks with the bag. I'd recommend a clustermasx highly though. Check out the clustermasx thread for what others think too Let us know how you are getting on okay? Regards Helen Ps check out the zyprexa threads too, I'm not sure if you can take that with a heart condition but I know people have had alot of success with that too.

G'orning LeLimey, Seeing that this is the 1st script I'm gettinng & he has the same odd Handwritting as most Doc's, I really can't make out what he wrote . However after reading alot about O2 here, I told him about The rebreather mask the Regulator , the Bubble Bottle & the tank gauge. He said it would come with every thing I need , so my only question Back to him this mornning will be is did he give me enough!! Thanks for the concern and the input, you guys are all great here and I'm really glad I've found this site!!! Have a Regular Head Day, Nico

Zyprexa...... I use it as an abortive and for the most part it is as effective for me as imitrex. Olanzapine (zyprexa) Quote:Effective and safe to use in patients unable to take sumatriptan or oxygen In one study, typically alleviated pain within 20 minutes after oral treatment |

Hi there There is a general missunderstanding out there since the first years we got the trex.On the manual it still say 2 a day and 12 hours between the shots. That goes for the migrainers and NOT the clusterheads More and more neurollogist seems to believe that triptans aint that bad for the heart as first expected.I do also believe that keep on believe that in case of lawsuits etcetc. Most of you know that i had a heartattack back in nov,2001. Im still shooting trex.Up to 8 a day in worst cases. My neuro does NOT say that i should stop using the trex,BUT they do say be careful. Im using 16mg of atacand as preventative The first i start with is the O2 with the godgiven clustermasx Then the trex Then morphshots Normally that does the trix for me Svenn
