Clusterchuck mentioned in his oxygen usage tips thread that he would like to see a comparison of common oxygen tank sizes and specs. I did some research and this is what I came up with: (All cylinders when full are pressurized to 2216 psi) D Cylinder Diameter 4.4 inches Height 16.5 inches Weight (empty) 5.3 pounds Capacity 15 cu ft-425 litres E Cylinder Diameter 4.4 inches Height 24.9 inches Weight (empty) 7.9 pounds Weight (full) 10 pounds Capacity 24 cu ft-680 litres M60 Cylinder Diameter 7.25 inches Height 23 inches Weight (empty) 22.3 pounds Capacity 60 cu ft-1699 litres MM Cylinder Diameter 8 inches Height 35.7 inches Weight (empty) 39 pounds Capacity 122 cu ft-3455 litres I'm still looking for the specs on H size tanks, all I could come up with is their capacity is 7970 litres, I'll add more as I find it. The link for calculating usage rates: (thanks to BikerBob) http://www.monroecc.edu/depts/pstc/backup/paraoxca.htm

Thank you for this info. I have been trying to get larger tanks. Mine only hold 680 litres, and at 15 lpm, that doesnt last long when you are getting hit 3 to 6 times a night. So i have the idiots bring over 12 to 15 tanks at a time. I tried to have my hospital give me some larger tanks in addition to the portable tanks, but they balked about it. Dont know what the big deal is in giving me 10,000 litres of O2 either in 15 small tanks or 3 bigger ones, but hey, i didnt spend 10 years in college. BMonee

Holy Bejeepers Bmonee, they probably thought you were going to try to go into buisness against them...... You do know 10,000 litres is almost 9 hours worth of O2 at 15 LPM?
