Hi everybody, well I finally got to see a neurologist and before trying lithium or verapamil, he put me back on pred at 60mg to try that first. Today is day one, so all I know so far is that I'm pretty wide awake this evening, when I should be exhausted from hell night last night. Anyway, thank you for your ears and support. I hope everybody has a PF night and is doing well. Jose, Nani, Jas, take care you guys.

I hope it works for ya! Most likely (and your doc should know this) you might find relief for a while until taper is near the end then might have an increase......should be used as a transitional med while preventative such as VERAPAMIL is reaching a therapeutic level OR To give ya a break during the middle of a peak of the cycle. Good luck and hope sure as hell that you are a statistic and it "breaks" your cycle!!! Best, Ex2

Hi David. I agree with Eric... your dr should know that a pred taper will help you get through until the other prevents have reached therapeutic levels. Odds are, without a prevent, the HAs will be back when your taper is over. Maybe you can give him a call. Regardless, I'm hoping it works well for you. Keep us posted. pain free wishes, nani

Thanks Eric & Nani. I thought that too, and I fully expected him to do both. But he seems to think it's worth a try to hit it hard with pred. I have to admit that I'm hoping it works and I won't need to load in another med. My other, probably overly optomistic thought, is that the pred might get me to the end of the cluster. At 9 weeks, it's lasted longer than ever this round. I'll keep you posted though, and thank you for your thoughts and support. It's a marvelous thing. David
