Something about Melatonin.. ????

I think there is something for sure with the Melatonin stopping the night time attacks... ??

I am currently taking:
Depakota ER 1000mg a day (Preventive)
O2 (1st Abortive)
Trex inj 2mg shot (2nd Abortive)
Melatonin 12mg - 30 minutes before bed
Benadryl 50mg - 30 minutes before bed

I was taking the Melatonin & Benadryl before I went to the Nero Dr about 5wks ago. After I seen the Nero Dr, he put me on the Depakota ER 750mg a day, so I stopped taking the Melatonin & Benadryl. Well the Am hits came back, that same night that I did not take the Melatonin & Benadryl.

When I seen the Nero Dr 2wks ago, I explained this and they upped the Depakota ER to 1000mg a day, I kept taking the Melatonin & Benadryl.

Getting to my point I missed taking the Melatonin & Benadryl on Monday night. Until then Sunday night was my 6th PF night (while taking meds regularly). Well Monday night/Tuesday AM I got a visit from the BEAST. This visit was not too bad, but it still woke me at the usual 1am time and when I got up at 4:30am I had a heavy shadow that stuck with me all day long.

Last night (Tuesday night) I took the usual Melatonin 12mg & Benadryl 50mg about 30 minutes before bed, I slept through the night again and woke with no pain.

I guess my question is, I think the Melatonin is doing the work for me at night. It seems if I miss it I get hit.

The Depakota ER is helping with the daytime hits, I have had very few with it this cycle. I do not seem to notice any affects from the Depakote ER, and for those who are wondering, I go for my blood work on Friday to check my Depakote Levels in my blood. Smiley

I also think since using the Melatonin & Benadryl at night has really cut down on my O2 and/or Trex use, its been almost 1 week since I have used the O2 and/or Trex. The HA's still come, but I ride them out. I just figure if the HA gets away from me, I'll take a shot. I have a limited suppy of Trex.

The BEAST to me is about 75% mental, I have learned to use the O2 during the day, I can not manage the tank during the night time hits, so I just use the TREX.

I'm beating the BEAST right now, in the past this is the time he usually pulls the change-up on me, its usually in the 1st week of August. I think I have him on the Run though, I'll see.... Smiley

Thanks for all the Support !!!!

I somehow missed that thread....  Roll Eyes

Well I am wondering if anyone else is having the same or different results.. ???

Its the first thing that I have used, that I sleep through the entire night with.. Tried all the Narcodic Products, made me sleepy, but never even dulled the CH pain..

Just like your thead (E-Double) I'm still amazied by the amount of pain that this BEAST thing causes and what does not work. Different kinds of pain the Human (some what) body can produce...  confused2
