Starting to freak out, any advice?

I am in my third week of my new cycle, got 6 CHs last night alone, 4 hours sleep. I gotta do something, man, this is gonna make me crack. I am gonna switch from propranolol to verapimil starting today, but its a 10 day taper off it, then takes a couple weeks for the verapimil to kick in. I have the O2 and Trex but would love to not have to use it. I am looking right down the barrel of a loaded gun, (figuratively), and i can see the bullet. Anyone got any advice for me so i can evade it? Please help me, i fell like a crazy jack nicholson. Just make it go away! BMonee

Has you doc suggested/considered prednisone to break this cycle? That would give immediate relief. Or, Zyprexa, 5mg, to abort an attack.

Hey dude, we are all here for you. I am on the yahoo messemger, just down load that start an account, its all free. I am usually logged on as well with many people from this site. If you want to know about me : Go into Getting to know You, mine is called "My case history, Charlie." I know where you are coming from, I just started my cycle on June 1, I was CH free for almost 2yrs, I threw away all my meds, and now I have to rough it with a small amount of TREX until I can see a new NERO Dr on thurs. I am now getting 4 Ch attacks a day, 2 in the am and 2 in the pm. I feel the same way you do, but I talked to a few people from this board and I am getting my Shit (and myself) together and I am going to fight this BEAST, I am not giving up. If you want to PM me on Yahoo chat I'm JCMQUIX, I hope I can be some help to you, believe me again it really helps to talk with someone who really understands what you are feeling. PFDAN to you BUDDY..

Would the owner of the propane torch, egg beater, pipe expander and vise grips please claim these items. They're lodged in my head and I need the space. (burnt-toast)

Zyprexa to abort???? Quote:ZYPREXA is the brand name for a medication approved for the treatment of schizophrenia, for maintenance of treatment response in schizophrenia, and for treatment of acute mania associated with bipolar I disorder in patients displaying a manic or mixed episode. The scientific name for ZYPREXA is olanzapine. Full prescribing information for ZYPREXA is available on this Web site or from your doctor. ZYPREXA belongs to a large category of medication that affect the mind, called psychotropics. Antipsychotic medicines are psychotropic medications that treat the symptoms of psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. ZYPREXA is a newer kind of antipsychotic medication known as an atypical antipsychotic. |

All of us who have had regular KIP 10 level cluster attacks knows right where you're at. You've probably tried all manner of pain relief, just to find it quits working within a few days or a week. If you haven't tried Stadol nasal spray, it is good for trying to blot out an attack here and there. Take as directed, it's strong stuff. It does make one sleepy and kind of drifty if you need to work or be in public. It isn't very pleasant, and therefore Docs aren't as hesitant to prescribe it, though it has potential to be addictive. The other abortive that has worked for me this cycle is Maxalt, another triptan type of pill. Keep trying different combinations of meds, often one will end up helping in a given cycle. Best wishes and prayers for you, Rich
