Have you tried oxygen? Also, you may want to add lithium to the verapamil. Sometimes the combo is just what's needed. Imitrex injections are probably the most effective way to deliver the Imitrex. Or, consider dropping all of those and trying one of the alternatives. There are 3 that help many. Kudzu, LSA, or 'shrooms. Read about them first. Pain free wishes and hang in there, nani

O2 at a high flow rate to abort, for starters. Are you getting hit while you sleep? If so see if melatonin is available where you are, it can help a lot with the night hits.

I hope you'll find relief soon... In my case it came from verapamil, 600mg/day. Best wishes & PFDANs, Sandie

Hi Davies Go to OUCH uk to the meds board here http://www.clusterheadaches.org.uk/home/index.cfm?address=../treatments/ txt_treatments.cfm&added=23/01/04&code=CD Pay particular attention to this O2 link http://www.clusterheadaches.org.uk/home/index.cfm?address=../treatments/ txt_drug_oxygen_regs_cd.cfm&added=11/08/03&code=CD In the UK the high flow regulators aren't available on the NHS.. we have to buy them. This way you can get a smaller tank with an in built regulator whoch makes it alot easier to try. You need a non rebreather mask too. These are not available on prescription but you can buy them from Boots for about £4-5. You can get them through OUCH UK alot cheaper but see how you get on with it first. There is a helpline phone number on the OUCH website which is well worth giving a call for further advice on meds. Think about asking for the Imigran injections, they are ALOT faster and are in fact the only licenced treatment for CH in the UK. I know they are expensive but your GP cannot refulse to prescribe them based on cost. There are resources at OUCH yet again that will back this up for you. This site is fantastic for support, I love it but for advice on meds I would recommend the OUCH site as there ARE differences between the US and the UK on drug names for instance as well as regulations and cylinder sizes for instance. Make the most of all the resources you have I say! Good luck, let us know how you are getting on okay? Regards Helen
