If nothing else works...try this

Also wanted to share this. I used to be a patient of Dr. Bernard Swerdlow in Orlando, Fla. Renowned in the pain management field. He would give me a prescription for a suppository of Hydrocodone to use if nothing else worked and the pain got too unbearable. Hydrocodone pills do nothing for me, but that suppository is incredible and STAT. Once inserted, withing 5 minutes this great buzz and numbness takes over and then usually you just pass out. I was always most comfortable taking it with someone there to watch over me. Anyway, it was a special mixture and Im not sure what it is and Swerdlow is retired, but I do remember that I had to go to Thayers Drugstore in Orlando to get it, if anyone wants to research or contact the pharmacist and find out what made it special. It was many years ago. Sorry for the lack of specificity, but I just found this sight. I thought I was one of the lucky ones and CH's went away...been two years..and bam, back in the cycle. Oh well...... Jeff

A thousand pardons...it was not Hydrocodone, it was Oxycodone suppositories.

As you might be able to tell from the above posts, narcotics are generally considered a "no-no" for clusterheads. I can imagine that Oxycodone in that particular form might make you go to sleep - but it isn't taming the beast, and over time, can put a monkey on your back as well. Read up on the various successes here - Kudzu is the newest. Plus for many, cycles are managed with the good old cocktail of Verapamil, Prednisone and Trex or oxygen. Best of luck, Kris
