Be on the lookout for eye problems if you take Topiramate (aka Topamax aka Dopeymax):

Acute myopia induced by topiramate: Report of a case and review of the literature.

Bhattacharyya KB, Basu S. Department of Neurology, Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata, India. kalyanbrb@rediffmail.com.

Topiramate, a new anticonvulsant, is also used for the prophylaxis of migraine and cluster headache. A serious but not often discussed side effect of the drug is the development of acute myopia and acute angle-closure glaucoma in the early stage of therapy that subsides rapidly with prompt discontinuation. One such case is reported here and the relevant literature in this regard is also reviewed.

Cat had this problem while on Topo. That may have been the problem. Or maybe not. It could've been the "growth" in her brain. Either way, it's a documented fact for a small minority, and well worth keeping tabs on.

Crap. Ended in a pre-position.

Hmm... I should probably send that to a friend of mine. She eats stupimax for non-ch reasons... I'm just so glad I'm off that stuff. It gave me nothing but trouble!

I did not have that problem while I was on dopymax, but OXYGEN caused me to go blind, temporarily.  I used to move the mask up, during exhale.  I did not realize it, but I was putting it over my eyes, and the O2 was blowing right on my eyes.  It caused them to fog over, and I could not see.  Once we figured out what was causing it, and I changed my ways (see, you CAN teach an old dog new tricks!) it cleared up fairly fast.

Just an FYI ...
