Before you try kudzu, it's important that you read all the related info. Look at this thread. All the other related threads are linked in it. You'll also find the answers to your questions. No one should start a new treatment without fully informing themselves. You can even print out the medical kudzu info and discuss it with your dr. Good luck and pain free wishes to you. nani http://www.clusterheadaches.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=meds;action= display;num=1110584362

Not sure which thread Nani just linked you to, but if you want to get an idea of where people are getting their Kudzu from, check out Floridian's post on the week 1 survey. It's flagged at the top of this folder. I know I got mine from http://www.vitacost.com It was quick and reliable. I'm in agreement with what Nani said - always be sure to check with your doctor first. And then even when your doctor says it is okay, it is a good idea to make sure you continue to read all you can on your own and truly learn all the risks and benefits! Don't learn the hard way like I did. It's a wonderful treatment when it works....and it appears to have worked for many! Best of luck, Carrie

Mine was Planetary Formulas, purchased from the local health foods store, and on the label, it reads, "For Alcohol Cessation." Dose was 2 tablets, 3x/day. Kudzu resulted in being hit a total of only eight times for the entire cycle, which was the shortest cycle I've ever had, at six weeks, and each hit was drastically reduced both in intensity and duration. The hardest hit I had was a Kip-7, and none of the hits lasted longer than thirty minutes. If you choose to try kudzu, best wishes with it. Please don't interpret this as a recommendation or an endorsement, though.

During my last cycle, I took the Natures Way stuff. I took 50% more than the normal dosage, I took 3 pills, 3 times per day. I definately noticed an improvement when I started taking it, I was getting less hits, the hits were less intense, and they were MUCH easier to abort. One thing I did notice is that I stopped cold turkey because I ran out, my clusters were over thankfully by my normal HA's returned. I actually posted a whole thread about it in the cluster spec. forum. I think it is a good idea to wean off of this stuff.
