Morning,

Just to let you know, the times that I used to get my CHs has changed this time.  I used to be able to set my clock for the 1am hit, the 3.30am hit and the 5.30 hit from the age of 12.

This time, nearly 30 years later, well, 2.30am, 4.30am and 7am.  Maybe it's just trying to make things more interesting for me or it was just bored?

What do you think?

Well, let me think for a minute here...   Maybe now that you're 41 you go to bed an hour and a half later than you did when you were 12 ??

Heard some talk of the adjustments being changed to March and November instead because some sort of savings were calculated, which involved fuel somehow.

IMHO, Daylight Savings Time is a crock.  You're not getting any more hours of daylight just because you screw with the clock.  The number of hours of sunlight gradually increases until June 21 regardless of what time Mickey points his fingers to.  If you want to take advantage of the extra daylight, get up earlier.  Don't go screwing with the damned clock and confusing half the world.

It's a dammned communist plot. They want to enslave the world. First it was to change the money system in Europe. Now it's the time. Soon they will be invading Greenwich to change all the worlds clocks. Good thing you live in Dorking.

Dorking?  laugh We could probably have a thread 50 pages long just on that word.  crackup

If this comes about, I think that it could actually have a detrimental effect on CH'ers

I like daylight saveings time. If you work outside like I do, it gives you one hour more to work in the cool of the morning instead of the heat of the afternoon. It did screw me up when I lived in Blythe Ca. and worked in Az. I never could remember if we were ! hour behind or two.

I like daylight savings because it doesn't apply to me!! Ha ha ha!!  Oh, sorry.

It is nice here in AZ, it is what it is all year round, no dorking around with anything (oh, sorry again....)

Dorking... interesting... I once met a guy in an airport from Belguim or something and he spoke Flemmish...  I had a lot of fun with that.

-Anyway-
I will say it is weird when I have to call someone in some other time zone.. I guess that would be everyone.. and I have to remember if it is one hour, two hours or three hours difference.

I heard that plot to adjust daylight savings as well, it acutally sounded like a reasonable idea to have stores open when the sun is out so they use less electricity.. but then it occured to me... does anyone know a store that has it's lights off during the day?  I don't.  Just cause the sun is out doesn't mean retail and business offices won't have their lights on.  Once in a while I notice a grocery store will have half it's lights off during the day...  Hmmm....  Just thinking out loud here.  Sorry you all had to endure that...   Tongue

if we do away with daylight savings time, does that mean in winter we can leave work a bit earlier?
I am all for going home before dark, for sure!
