Update on lithium pulsing

Well, Mike's still doing the lithium pulsing trick that Chedden taught us. Still experiencing completely pain free days but still in cycle, although he is feeling that it is starting leave him now (almost 3 months to the day of onset). He's considering stopping the morning dose this weekend to see how it goes. Best cycle he's ever had (if there is such a thing as a "good" cluster cycle.) I heard from Chet last week and he is starting his taper off the lithium now too. He did some experimenting with a taper a couple of weeks ago and had some breakthrough hits as a result, so he went back on it for awhile. But that proved that the lithium is keeping the attacks at bay for him, as well. No shadows, no side effects, life is good.

Oh Margi that is fantastic! I'm really, really pleased for you. Definitely think its one to write up as a tip for other lithium users I hope the taper works and that its the end of the cycle for your hubby, that would just be the icingon the cake. One question though, what makes your husband think it is the end of his cycle? Is it guesswork or is there a more definite indication? Umm.. actually make it two questions.. has this cycle been longer/shorter/about the same based on this being the start of the end?
