Approx a year ago , there was a television documentary on headaches. At that time there had been a new form of pain relief that would fire pulses or minor shockwaves into your head re;ieving the pain The problem at that time was that it weighed about 60 lbs and was 3'-4' long, similair to a bazooka Rather cumbersome to carry around and hit the right spot Recently, i've heard that this device is now down to the size of a pen or pencil and can be carried around quite easily Has anybody heard of this ? Is it true or false ? A website address that I can check it out would be helpful I've been suffering since Sun 6am , maybe a bazooka wouldn't be a bad idea Any info or leads would be appreciated Thank you

Hi Mach, Are you possibly talking about a TENS unit? If not, I'm afraid I've never heard of what you're describing. If it is a TENS, I don't believe it's been of much help to most who've tried it. If it's something else ... ? Kris

I have heard of trial studies they are doing over seas implanting a device in the back of the brain to send out impulses to stop the ha and zap it when it comes on. But not a word on it being used in the general practice yet.
