Anyone have Zyban as a trigger?

I am going to quit smoking, again. I did it for 4 years last time and hated every day of it, so I started. Now, I'm going to do the Zyban route. Anyone used it? Did it trigger? I know it's Wellbutrin, but I couldn't find anything saying if it would trigger or not. T

My sister insists that Welbutrin will trigger an episode of CH. Frankly, I'm not sure it's 100 % true. She hasn't really educated herself on CH. She also thinks giving up sugar will end an episode for her. She doesn't keep track of any regularity in her cycles, so it could just be coincidence. Or not...it could be a trigger for her.

I haven't used Zyban but I would definately avoid it during a CH episode. It is well known that Zyban causes insomnia in a major way. Insomnia is a terrible thing to add to a CH episode. Friends who have used Zyban also say that while using Zyban they had lots of vivid dreams. Dream sleep is REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, a major CH trigger. Bob

It caused hell with my head. I've tried it twice now, and both times with the same result. My head kicks into high gear evertime I try it, usually after about 3 days. Cat

It didn't cause a problem for me, and if you take the second dose of the day early enough in the afternoon, it won't cause insomnia.

Not a trigger for me, but I do have a drug allergy to it! Very nasty!
