Where to get Oxygen tank in NW Chicago 'burbs?

Good morning, Can you recommend a supplier in the northwest suburbs of Chicago (maybe in Lake county near-ish Vernon Hills)? My husband's new dr. prescribed oxygen for him yesterday, so now I'm on the move to track this thing down. Seems like all the suppliers I called are closed on weekends? I'm going to call the local pharmacy when they open and see if they can recommend a place. Thought I'd try you guys first. Thank you. Lisa

24 calls to med supplies stores and 5 referrals from pharmacists later, I got in touch with Walgreens Home Care. They will deliver on Monday and bring us a respiration therapist, too. They were familiar with O2 use for clusters. Hope it arrives. I will try Apria next time. Thank you so much. Here is the info in case anyone needs it: Walgreens Home Care 800-323-2828 (choose the respiration option).

BLOT: Would not recommend Walgreens Home Care. Update on Walgreens... a driver arrived with a O2 tank. No therapist, no mask, just a tank and some tubes! @#&*@#$%!!!! Even though the person who took our order said she was familiar with O2 therapy for headaches and the nonrebreather mask. TYPICAL STORY, right?! So, another 20+ phone calls later I found a place I could go pick up a rebreather mask. You'll need a prescription in to get this mask here: $10 Lincare 1701 Howard Street Suite D Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 847-357-1010 O2 (+ drugs) is working for my husband. Under advice from you guys, we taped up the mask holes as soon as we got it and it works great! Can't thank you enough for this site and your help. Lisa
