I don't know if this is the right board to post this but this is certainly of interest to many of us. The discoverer of LSD and psilocybin was Dr. Albert Hofman of Sandoz. For a link to his memoirs go to http://www.psychedelic-library.org/child.htm. Chapter 6 is especially interesting for his discussion of the original isolation of psilocybin in 1957 and a description of the hallucinogenic effects. It gives you a good idea of what to expect if you go overboard with a dose. There have been a few reports on the board of people using LA (morning glory seeds) to stop CHs. From his research it doesn't sound like a good choice for the simple reason that it's dysphoric, it gives you bad vibes. He was also able to synthesize psilocybin quite easily and at one point was about to ship 25 kg, several million doses(!), to Timothy Leary. If the therapy is ever made legal, there's going to be no problem producing the stuff. Imagine aspirin laced with psycilocybin!

Albert Hofmann, if you please. Whether Americans and Britisch like it or not, there are no German names ending in -man, it's always -mann. It had to be said once again. Ueli

| Morning glory/woodrose also increases blood pressure quite a bit - making it riskier for many people. There are supposedly ways of seperating the various components using a variety of solvents, that might help some, but psilocybin is safer.
