butalbital addiction?

butalbital (aka: fioricet) has worked for my CH but now my doc says I'm addicted and experiencing rebound headaches but... my doc's not helpful with other meds to break the cycle... has this happend to anyone here? please help.... I'm new to this site... Thanks!

Narcotics could very well be giving you rebound headaches. You should try to get off of them and work with your doc on a preventative that may help *stop the headaches before they come * Unsolved

I've taken fioricet for tension headaches. I'd have to take a handfull of them to have any impact on a cluster. Lots of doctors think that fioricet isn't worth the hassle because of it's lack of effectiveness and the rebounds you're having. Go for the real ch treatments: triptans, verap, O2.
