Wonderful feeling! "No Pain"

*positive light and energy* mia and D I have read a lot about your pain and suffering with these little beastie boogers...I have had them for at least 5 years. I prayed and prayed from the lord to help me find a way to make it stop. If only you would just let me die that would be a way to stop this pain. So one day before Thanksgiving came around with all the family here and the hussle bussle...I had only 2 cig's and I smoked them both within an hour of each other. I knew in my heart that the Lord wanted me to quit. I was a smoker for at least 20 years. Had a light cluster HA that night. No smoking for the next few days and no headaches. I have no desire to light up or even be around that smell. I dont miss them and I dont crave them. I dont use any kind of cruch at all. (No chemicals in my system but food and water)I don't have headaches anymore as of today November 29th 2004. That feels good! ...A lot of times our positive energy guides the way to hope, health and happiness. God bless you and your loved one. May all of us on this message board and everywhere else in the world that suffers any kind of pain find confort and peace within themselves. God Bless, Robin P.S. I am not bragging, I am not saying it will work for all, I am just sharing my story with who ever wants to read it. In hope's it will work for some...

I am glad that the quitting smokeing appears to helping you. I was a smoker, and it was quitting smoking that both my specialist and I believe contributed to the beast mutating on me. After smokeing for as long as I had been, 30 years believe it or not, the sudden change in brain chemistry was what mutated this thing for me. So much for cold turkey for me.

I saw an act of faith today. A man was on his knees, not in a pew in a Church, but in a garden planting seeds. ~~Unknown

Congrats! I hope the CHs stay away. Of course CHs are hardly the only good reason to quit. You'll probably feel a lot better over time, and get a lot heavier too. And unfortunately, if your body behaves anything like mine, your CHs will be back. The good news for me is they seemed a lot less severe after quitting. And now, the abortive treatments make a CH cycle manageable. Better living through modern chemistry.
