i'm new to the web site but have been a chronic sufferer for 13 years and want to share the best trick i've come up with to divert an attack. at the onset of an attack (espically when you are sleeping) sit up immediatley, keep a folded wet cold wash cloth handy. place across temple and fore-head area. sit over or in front of AC vent. apply med. pressure. may have to re-wet cloth several times. usally keeps attack from going to high level and generally only last about five minutes. MUST ACT QUICK THOUGH! also placement on head has a to be precise. need to play with it a few times to get the right spot.

Tried it more than once. Doesn't do a thing for me except focus more of my energy on the area. Either do over-the-counter pain killers - nothing. I tried Excedrim Migraine - useless. Have you ever tried imitrex injectibles. I don't leave home without them. A miracle (if I believed in miracles)really. Make me feel a little uncomfortable - not the actual shot just the creepy feeling of the medication screwing with my vascular system...
