Pluggin' Neurontin

I have read a lot of threads that recommend Topamax. It is an anti-convulsant which seems to have a number of unpleasant side effects. I just wanted to share that I take Neurontin, another anti-convusant which seems to be better tolerated and has fewer side effects. When I first started taking it it made me a little fuzzy and pretty sleepy. I got over that, and now take 1800 mg a day as a prevent. I like it and it helps (as much as it can-I'm chronic). No I do not work for the drug company - also it's had some bad press due to a lawsuit. The lawsuit is based on Docs pushing it for off label uses...

| Actually vig I'm not sure that it is. (I could be wrong). I started using it myself in desperation, before I got the CH diagnosis. I had it left over from brain surgery for a ruptured aneurysm and the docs told me at the time it was not only for the anti-seizure component ( happens a lot post brain surgery ), but as a pain med as well. My regular doc said that it was used for most chronic type headaches.
