Bork Watch out for the effect of Indocin on your stomach. It can cause serious stomach irritation if taken for long periods. There are drugs you can take with it to counteract the effects if you get them. Wendy sorry, Prednisone is days only as you have been precribed, Indocin can be longer but with careful monitoring of the effects

Hi Bork, I believe that many have found some relief with the combo you're on. Like Wendy said, Indocin can be irritating to your stomach, so stock up with Tums, Rolaids, etc. If you find it isn't helping decrease the intensity or frequency of your HA's after a week or so, you might consider Verapamil as a different prevent. It doesn't seem to cause stomach problems - just constipation! lol! I understand the scary feelings you have about this syndrome and about reading everything available here. Each of us battles the beast in a different way and some are so much worse off than others. Regardless, everyone here is family, and there's a wealth of knowledge just waiting to be shared. Hugs, Kris

Bork, How much Indocin are you taking and how many times per day? I take Indocin as well and have had success for a long time. I just have to take it on a full stomach and I've yet to have any intestinal problems with it. Are you male or female? New research is showing females have more success with Indocin than males in fighting clusters. good luck and welcome! renee
