Help! Going to Dr tonight and am wondering about trying 02. What do I ask for? Do you rent the tank? Is it expensive? Just a ball park please. Never had 02. Also got Melatonin per everybody's advice on here but it says do not exceed 3mg and people are saying they are taking 9? Any advise?

Some people take as much as 18 mg a night, of melatonin, start with 3 and then adjust according to how much pf sleep you get. You want O2 prescribed at 15 lpm.

Wish I could give you a cost on O2, but my insurance picks up most of the cost. I think that the 4 M tanks and 6 E tanks and regs that I have cost me about $25/refill for all 10. Thomas is correct, you want a reg that goes to 15lpm and a non-rebreather mask. I would also suggest that you get a good amount of hose, if you can. Call your O2 supply house once you get the script and they will hook you up. I have a 25' length of hose and it help when you are pacing to be able to walk farther than the 4' they give you with the mask.

| Stop _wondering_ about O2, and get the damned stuff. There's a real good reason why the Oxygen Link was created. You're being handed info on a silver platter.......... You ask for "O2 for Cluster Headaches." If it's not covered by insurance, you rent it yourself. It's only expensive if yer having a hard time paying rent on your trailer, down by the river. Get O2 now, Trish..... RJ

And if you don't have insurance and can't afford medical O2, we can tell you how to use welder's O2 at about 20% of the price.

O2 is always! my first choice. Works almost everytime within 5-15 mins. I don't have insurance, so it costs me about $25.00 to fill an E tank which may last a week or less for me. I was lucky enough to have an HMO at one point in time that felt they were better off buying me a couple of concentrators instead of refilling my LOX all the time! I still have the machines and they still work, although I don't think they work as well as the LOX. I can get 10 lpm with two machines!
