Looks like the beast is on his way in for a summer visit. I need some help. I am scheduling a visit to the doc this week. Im currently on 120 mg of Verapamil, I know this is not enough. What would be appropriate? There has been allot of talk about Melatonin....Is this helpful and how should it be taken? Another question is about Imtrex....Is anyone getting multi dose vials? After the 2 doses of Imtrex what is everyone doind for the third and forth headaches? Oxygen is not working for me ans my headaches are starting to laugh at Stadol. I need some help, I will wait for your response. Thanks all

Sorry to hear the beast is returning. About the Verapamil, 120 mg is a small dose. In order to up that dose, you must consult your doc. A higher dose may be helpful, but some cannot handle high doses. It can cause your heart rate and blood pressure to decrease to unsafe levels. Plz ask your doc about this. Meletonin ... some swear by it. The usually dosage is 9 mg before bedtime. I used up to 12 mg with no help. Imitrex...it can be bought in the vials. I use the auto-injector most of the time. I take what I need (sometimes many doses a day). Imitrex (like other drugs) effect people in different ways. Just because I can handle 8 or 9 shots a day doesn't mean you can. It could cause seriuos heart damage. Use only what you have to. Unsolved

If you would like me to I can email you the Verapimil regime recommended by the CH guru Prof. Goadsby at the London Institute of Neurology. It starts at 80mg quick release 3 times a day and increases at 2 weekly intervals from that until prevention is achieved. ECG's are needed at each increase to a level of 960mgs per day. (there are people who go higher than this but that is unusual) Let me know if you want me to send it to you Wendy

I do the Trex vials. Since I take such small doses (.125ml... 1/3 - 1/4 of a full dose) taking several a day is not an issue. Best of luck, Lobstah

Are you sure you're getting enough O2 for it to work? Stadol is sooo 1992...

Hi, Have you read the tip to the left on Imitrex? It gives you some idea on how you can extend your 12mg/day into 6 injections. If you are squeamish like me about re-using a needle three times, PM or Email me. I'll send you info (thanks Giovanni) on how you can use the autoinject Imitrex you have on hand and still extend its use without having to use an already used needle. And yes, some pharmacies will carry Imitrex in multi-dose vials. Your physician has to request it for you and it will probably have to be ordered. However, if your doc is reluctant to order it for you, other sterile methods are available. Hugs, Kris
